After the cross of hundreds of civilians and returning to their regime-controlled villages and arresting tens, residents return to the eastern countryside of Idlib and fears of arresting them
Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored several families crossing from Abu al-Duhur crossing in the eastern countryside of Idlib towards their villages, from which they have been displaced earlier, and which the regime forces and their allies have controlled during a vast military operation months ago, where local sources confirmed to Syrian Observatory that families have crossed from factions’ controlled areas towards regime forces’ controlled areas, after opening the crossing by the regime forces for a limited period of time for those wishing to return to their homes, after regime forces’ control of the area in the eastern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, amid fears among citizens of returning and the arrest of young men and boys as happened previously by the regime forces; during the entry of the first batch a few weeks ago to the same area.
The Syrian Observatory published on the 7th of June 2018 that the return of citizens of the eastern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, is continuing after the regime forces allowed them to return to their villages on which the regime force and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities imposed their control few months ago during a wide-scale military operation in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the entry of more than 2000 citizens of men, children and women, to the villages which the regime forces controlled in the east and the south-east of Idlib, and the SOHR learned that the regime forces carried out arrests against tens of citizens, and took them to detention centers in the area, while the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that 3 children were killed and others were injured, as a result of the explosion of an unexploded shell, where the shell exploded in the area of Tal Halawah in the south-eastern sector of Idlib countryside, where the village is controlled by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, and the village witnessed the return of citizens to it within those who came back to their villages after the regime allowed them to return after they have been displaced as a result of the military operation which took place in the south-east of Idlib, and which enabled the regime forces to restore hundreds of villages in this countryside as well as the northern countryside of Hama and southern countryside of Aleppo.
It is noteworthy that the regime forces arrested during the past few days, tens of young men of who returned from the areas controlled by the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham; to their villages which have been controlled by the regime forces months ago, as a result of the military operation through which the regime forces managed to take the control of tens of villages until they reached and controlled Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase and its vicinity.
