The Russians conduct negotiations with towns of east Daraa, in conjunction with negotiations about the fate of the entire Province of Daraa, after the death and displacement of tens of thousands of civilians
Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from intersected sources, which confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that negotiations are taking place in two main directions, where negotiations are taking place between the Russians and the factions via intermediaries and notables from casualties of Daraa in the towns of Eastern Kark, Om Walad, al-Mata’eiya, al-Taibah, Om al-Mayathen, Saida and Nasib in the eastern countryside of Daraa and Abtaa in the northern countryside of Daraa, to reach agreements in each town alone, stop the shelling on it and then entering a permanent truce with the regime, where the Russian military police have entered to reach a definitive solution within each town within the framework of the second direction of negotiations, which is based on discussions about the entire Daraa Province, which is taking place between the two main parties, the Russians and the factions, through mediators, aimed at reaching a full agreement about Daraa Province, based on preventing the regime forces from entering the towns involved in reconciliation, deployment of the Russian military police, handing over the heavy and light weapons by the factions, the return of the government departments to work and settling the situation of those who wants to, the return of services to the area and settling the situation of those who are due to the “compulsory service”, where the negotiations and consultations lead to the handover of Nasib border crossing with Jordan and opening the road of Gaziantep – Jordan entirely.
These negotiations come after violent fighting after which the regime forces managed to achieve an advancement at the expense of the rebel and Islamic factions, and enabld them to control Bosr al-Harir, Mlehat al-Atash, Western Mleha, Eastern Mleha, Rakham, Nahta, al-Sora and Alma in the eastern countryside of Daraa, after intensive raids and heavy shelling of thousands of rocket and artillery shells, barrel bombs, missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, and air raids by warplanes of the Russians and the regime, and after more the displacement of more than 120000 civilians as a result of the heavy shelling and military operations, where the local sources confirmed that at least 5 persons were killed in the past 48 hours due to the poor health and living conditions, and the tragic humanitarian situation, where the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the number of displaced people in Daraa Province continues to rise; as a result of the military operations of the regime forces in the province since the 19th of June, which included violent attacks, heavy clashes, and shelling by the warplanes of the regime and Russia and regime’s helicopters, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the increase of number of displaced people to more than 120000, they were displaced by the military operation and intensive shelling on their cities, towns, and villages, after thousands of air and missile strikes in 10 days of military operations, and in the details documented by the Syrian Observatory: the eastern countryside of Daraa is almost completely empty of civilians, where tens of thousands have displaced to the Syrian – Jordanian border hoping to cross to the Jordanian territory or to be in a place where the regime forces and the warplanes cant target them, others have fled to areas controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, at the border with the occupied Syrian Golan, while others have displaced to areas controlled by the regime forces in the area after the regime’s open for 2 crossing points and 3 shelter centers in the northern and northwestern countryside of Daraa, and in the western and northwestern countryside of Daraa tens of thousands have displaced to the border with the occupied Golan at the countryside of Quneitra.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that more than 6000 families from Nawa city have left their homes, and more than 400 family have displaced to areas controlled by “Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid” which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization in Yarmouk Basin west of Daraa, this displacement comes as a result of the intense shelling and military operations of thousands of raids, missiles, barrel bombs, shells, and ground-to-ground missiles, which since the 19th of this month have killed more than 98 civilian citizens including 19 children and at least 17 women, including 51 civilians including 15 children and 10 women were killed in the heavy bombardment on Dael, al-Msifra, al-Taibah, Nawa, and other areas in the eastern countryside of Daraa since yesterday and the day before yesterday, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 6 citizens including a school director and 3 children, after the fall of shells on areas controlled by the regime forces in Daraa city and al-Sanamin city.
Also, the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that it rose to 67 at least, the number of members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them including officers, of who were killed in the shelling and clashes during the same period, in Daraa countryside, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that the number of factions’ members who have been killed in the aerial and ground shelling and violent clashes, since the 19th of June 2018, has increased to 54 fighters at least, where the regime forces managed after intensive aerial, artillery and rocket shelling and violent attack, to take the control of Alma and Al-Sorah towns, after they took the control of the towns of Rakham, Bosr Al-Harir, Maliha Al-Atash, Eastern Mleha and Western Mleha amid their advancement in Al-Hrak town in the same countryside, where they managed to advance inside the town which is witnessing with its vicinity, intensive rocket and artillery shelling and raids by Russian warplanes as well as bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels, which caused destruction to the property of the citizens.
