After impeding the first day’s negotiations…anticipation for a new round of negotiations between the Russians and the opposition about the destiny of Daraa province

Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: several reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that a new round of negotiations about the destiny of Daraa province, is expected to take place tomorrow, Saturday the 30th of June 2018, between the Russian side on one hand, and the opposition factions on the other, via intermediaries, where the negotiations are being conducted to reach a complete solution about the future of Daraa province which has witnessed 11 days of escalating the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them as well as the Russian forces, and the SOHR learned that the terms which are being debated, include full and extensive cease-fire in Daraa province, handing over the heavy weapons by the factions, providing that the light weapons will be handed over later during the process of “settling the situations” after the Russians are provided with the names of the fighters to get their situations settled with the regime, on condition that the Russians ensure the implementation of these guarantees in return for handing over Nasib Border Crossing by the factions, the return of the government institutions and providing the regime forces with maps of the factions’ positions, landmines and tunnels.

And today, Friday the 29th of June 2018, witnessed negotiations between the Russians, the factions and representatives of the towns of the eastern countryside of Daraa, via intermediaries and notables from the area, about the destiny of these towns, along with negotiations that are underway, about the entire province, where the SOHR monitored that negotiations are taking place between the Russians and the factions, via intermediaries, to reach a full agreement about Daraa Province, based on preventing the regime forces from entering the towns involved in reconciliation, deployment of the Russian military police, handing over the heavy and light weapons by the factions, the return of the government departments to work and settling the situation of those who wants to, the return of services to the area and settling the situation of those who are due to the “compulsory service”, where the negotiations and consultations lead to the handover of Nasib border crossing with Jordan and opening the road of Gaziantep – Jordan entirely, the Syrian Observatory also monitored the displacement of more than 120000 citizens, as a result of the heavy shelling and military operations, where the local sources confirmed that at least 5 persons were killed in the past 48 hours due to the poor health and living conditions, and the tragic humanitarian situation, where the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that it monitored the increase of number of displaced people to more than 120000, they were displaced by the military operation and intensive shelling on their cities, towns, and villages, after thousands of air and missile strikes in 10 days of military operations, and in the details documented by the Syrian Observatory: the eastern countryside of Daraa is almost completely empty of civilians, where tens of thousands have displaced to the Syrian – Jordanian border hoping to cross to the Jordanian territory or to be in a place where the regime forces and the warplanes cant target them, others have fled to areas controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, at the border with the occupied Syrian Golan, while others have displaced to areas controlled by the regime forces in the area after the regime’s open for 2 crossing points and 3 shelter centers in the northern and northwestern countryside of Daraa, and in the western and northwestern countryside of Daraa tens of thousands have displaced to the border with the occupied Golan at the countryside of Quneitra, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that more than 6000 families from Nawa city have left their homes, and more than 400 family have displaced to areas controlled by “Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid” which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization in Yarmouk Basin west of Daraa, this displacement comes as a result of the intense shelling and military operations of thousands of raids, missiles, barrel bombs, shells, and ground-to-ground missiles, which since the 19th of this month have killed more than 98 civilian citizens including 19 children and at least 17 women, including 51 civilians including 15 children and 10 women were killed in the heavy bombardment on Dael, al-Msifra, al-Taibah, Nawa, and other areas in the eastern countryside of Daraa since yesterday and the day before yesterday, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 6 citizens including a school director and 3 children, after the fall of shells on areas controlled by the regime forces in Daraa city and al-Sanamin city.
