After the failure of negotiations with the Russians in towns in the countryside of Daraa, the warplanes intensify the raids on areas from Nasib to Bosra al-Sham in conjunction with clashes south of Daraa city

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: negotiations continue between Russian forces and representatives of the regime; and between representatives of towns of the eastern countryside of Daraa, where the failure of negotiation round today led to more raids by warplanes on the southern countryside and the eastern countryside of Daraa, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the warplanes carrying out intensive raids on the places between Nasib south of Daraa to Bosra al-Sham in the eastern countryside of Daraa, in conjunction with raids targeting al-Naemeh town, where explosions are now shaking places in the area as a result of the intense shelling, which caused more destruction in the infrastructure and property of citizens, in conjunction with clashes in the vicinity of the airbase south of Daraa, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions, accompanied by intense exchange of shelling in the clash areas, which caused damage and destruction of vehicles and confirmed information about more human casualties in the ranks of both parties.

In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces start shelling an area of Daraa suburb, where they opened heavy machineguns’ fire on al-Tariq al-Harbi road which extends from Tal Shihab area to Nasib area, in order to close it by fire arm in front of the factions and fighters, and to prevent them from moving between the western and southwestern countryside of Daraa; and the eastern and southern countryside of Daraa, the Syrian Observatory also monitored the fall of shells on areas controlled by the regime forces in Daraa city, which caused material damage, killed a child, and injured several other people with varying severity, raising to 7 including a school director and 4 children, the number of people killed due to the fall of shells on areas controlled by the regime forces in Daraa city and al-Sanamin city since the 19th of June 2018, while the Syrian Observatory received information about damage in old archaeological areas by the shelling that targeted Bosr al-Sham city, following the loss that the regime forces had yesterday evening after their failed attack, which left 12 casualties of their gunmen and loyal members including officers.

While the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the military operation of the regime forces in the eastern countryside of Daraa continues, in conjunction with the continuation of the “reconciliation” processes and discussion with Daraa towns individually, pending the resumption of discussions about the entire province between the Russians and representatives of the province and its factions, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of shelling by the regime forces and the aerial bombardment on several areas in the eastern countryside of Daraa, where the strikes targeted this morning areas in the towns of Ghasm and Sahwa, which killed 5 citizens including a woman and a member of the civil defense, and others were injured with varying severity, which may raise the death toll, also the shelling during the hours of last night on the Eastern Kark town killed at least 9 people, including 5 of the family of the town’s Mukhtar including 3 women, while a citizen man and a woman were killed in the morning bombardment by warplanes and helicopters on Nawa area and Om al-Mayathen town, raising to 116 at least including 19 children and 23 woman, the number of people who were killed since the 19th of June 2018, also the regime forces, warplanes, and helicopters shelled areas in the Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city and the towns of al-Yadudeh, Tafas, al-Hara, Bosr al-Sham, al-Zamal, al-Taibah, Om al-Mayathen, Tal al-Samn, al-Kahil, and Jiza, which caused more destruction and damage to the property of citizens, where the regime forces seek through this escalation of shelling to force these areas to join the “reconciliation” process which is carried out by Russia with representatives of the area.

Intersected sources told the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the Russian military police had entered Dael town in the northern Daraa countryside after entering Abtaa town, in conjunction with the reaching “reconciliations” in the Western al-Gharya, Eastern al-Gharya, Om Walad, Eastern al-Kark and the hills near the area, between representatives of towns of the countryside of Daraa and Russian Forces, while negotiations are underway in other towns near Nasib border crossing and the Syria-Jordan border in the eastern countryside of Daraa, to reach a “reconciliation” agreement with representatives of the area, while it is expected that in the coming hours a new round of negotiations to be held about the fate of Daraa Province, between the Russians and between opposition factions through mediators, where negotiations are underway to reach a complete solution with regard of the future of Daraa Province, which have witnessed 11 days of escalation of rocket and artillery shelling and air raids by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them and the Russian forces, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the items being discussed include a full and comprehensive cease-fire in Daraa Province, handing over the medium and heavy weapons of the opposition, while the light weapons will be handed over later during the process of “settling the situations,” after providing the Russians with the names of fighters to settle their situation with the regime, provided that the Russians shall guarantee carrying out these guarantees in return for the factions’ handing over for Nasib border crossing; and the return of government institutions, and providing the regime forces with maps of the locations of the factions, mine, and tunnels.
