Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the aerial and ground targeting is still continuing to areas in Daraa province, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored warplanes carrying out strikes targeting areas in Al-Sahwah town along with bombardment by helicopters on the same areas, amid the continuation of their targeting with the regime forces and gunmen loyal, to the area which is extended from Nasib to Busra Al-Sham, where the bombardment resulted in a massacre which has left 10 casualties at least including 5 children under the age of eighteen, while the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases and missing people in the place of targeting in Al-Sahwah town which is located between Busra Al-Sham and Al-Musayfirah, where intersected sources confirmed the presence of tens of injuries and missing people, thus, it rose to 126 persons including 24 children and 23 women, the number of citizens who have been killed since the 19th of June 2018, in the raids and the intensive artillery and rocket shelling by the Russians and the regime on Daraa province, while information was reported about the death of a number of members of the reconciliation committees as a result of being targeted in Al-Sahwah area in the eastern countryside of Daraa.
The SOHR also monitored warplanes carrying out several raids which targeted areas in Daraa Al-Balad in Daraa city, in conjunction with shelling by missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, on the same areas, which caused material damage, without information about casualties, amid the continuation of clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the vicinity of the airbase in the south of Daraa city, along with the continuation of the regime forces’ targeting by their heavy machineguns to the Military Road which is extended from Tell Shihab area to Nasib area, to close it by firearm against the factions and fighters, and prevent them from moving between both western and south-western countryside of Daraa and between both southern and eastern countryside of Daraa, while the factions opened fire of their heavy machineguns on the western countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, targeting positions and areas controlled by the regime forces, which caused material damage, without information about casualties so far.
And the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that as a result of the failure of negotiation round today in areas in the eastern countryside of Daraa, it monitored the warplanes carrying out intensive raids on the places between Nasib south of Daraa to Bosra al-Sham in the eastern countryside of Daraa, in conjunction with raids targeting al-Naemeh town, where explosions are now shaking places in the area as a result of the intense shelling, which caused more destruction in the infrastructure and property of citizens, and intersected sources have told the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the Russian military police had entered Dael town in the northern Daraa countryside after entering Abtaa town, in conjunction with the reaching “reconciliations” in the Western al-Gharya, Eastern al-Gharya, Om Walad, Eastern al-Kark and the hills near the area, between representatives of towns of the countryside of Daraa and Russian Forces, while negotiations are underway in other towns near Nasib border crossing and the Syria-Jordan border in the eastern countryside of Daraa, to reach a “reconciliation” agreement with representatives of the area, while it is expected that in the coming hours a new round of negotiations to be held about the fate of Daraa Province, between the Russians and between opposition factions through mediators, where negotiations are underway to reach a complete solution with regard of the future of Daraa Province, which have witnessed 11 days of escalation of rocket and artillery shelling and air raids by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them and the Russian forces, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the items being discussed include a full and comprehensive cease-fire in Daraa Province, handing over the medium and heavy weapons of the opposition, while the light weapons will be handed over later during the process of “settling the situations,” after providing the Russians with the names of fighters to settle their situation with the regime, provided that the Russians shall guarantee carrying out these guarantees in return for the factions’ handing over for Nasib border crossing; and the return of government institutions, and providing the regime forces with maps of the locations of the factions, mine, and tunnels.
