The number of casualties of the regime forces and their allies increases to 45 in the past 48 hours raising to 117, the number of their casualties out of about 325 casualties who were killed in 13 days of escalation on Daraa
Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces are continuing their targeting in the area which is located between the west of Da’el and the east of Tafas, in the north-western countryside of Daraa city, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored continuation of shelling by the regime forces targeting areas in Tafas town and its vicinity, following the intensive raids which targeted areas in the town and its outskirts, and which exceeded 22 raids, causing substantial material damage to the property of the citizens, and the shelling escalation on the area, which was carried out by tens of rocket and artillery shelling and raids, was accompanied by clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions, in places in the area which is located between Da’el and Tafas, amid exchange of targeting which left more human losses, as the clashes, aerial and ground shelling and exchange of targeting resulted in the fall of more human losses, while it rose to 46 at least, the number of casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them who were killed in the past 48 hours including several officers, raising the number of casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them to 117 members at last who have been killed since the 19th of June 2018, the date of starting the regime’s military operation in Daraa countryside, also the number of casualties in the ranks of the rebel and Islamic factions has increased, where it rose to 74 at least, the number of their fighters who were killed in the same period, as a result of the aerial and rocket shelling and clashes, the SOHR also documented the death of 132 citizens including 25 children and 23 women who have been killed since the 19th of June 2018, in the raids and the intensive artillery and rocket shelling by the Russians and the regime on Daraa province.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from a number of intersected sources that the regime forces managed during the military operation to enter a number of towns which are Al-Musayfirah, Al-Kahil and Al-Sahwah and imposed their control on them, after they managed to take the control of the towns of the Western Al-Gharya, the Eatern Al-Gharya, Um Walad, Al-Karak Al-Sharqi and the hills near the area, Al-Hrak, Al-Sorah, Alma, Rakham, Bosr Al-Harir, Maliha Al-Atash, Eastern Mleha Western Mleha and Al-Lajat area, while reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory, that the negotiations are still continuing about the destiny and future of Daraa province, where consultations are underway about the points presented by Russia to resolve the situation of Daraa province and completely stop the military operation on it, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago, that negotiations are taking place; between the Russians and between representatives of Daraa province and its factions with Jordanian support for these negotiations, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the meetings and consultations that have been held since the day before yesterday between both parties have witnessed the Russians’ put forward for a paper in these continuous negotiation process, and this proposal paper is based on handing over the entire heavy and medium weapons by the factions working in Daraa Province, while the light weapons remain with them for a definite period, these factions and those who wish of their members join the 5th Legion; which was established by Russia to fight jihadist groups and the “Islamic State” organization, the border crossing of Nasib with Jordan will be handed over to regime’s customs, the civil police, passport department, and police department, also the Russian police and the regime police will spread in cities, towns, and villages of the countryside of Daraa, and the government departments will also return to work in all areas, provided that the forces of regime’s army forces do not enter the remaining villages, towns, and cities that are still under the control of the factions until now, and Russia guarantees that the citizens or the fighters will not be arrested on the checkpoints while moving in Daraa Province, also members of the 5th Legion will spread on the Syrian – Jordanian border and on the border with the occupied Syrian Golan, and regarding the citizens and fighters wishing to “settle their situation” and resolved the issue of conscription; it will be agreed on having their conscription date postponed or joining certain points, also, all services will be provided and introduced to Daraa province once again.
