The tragedy of Daraa’s displaced people continues and terrifying rise of their number which reached about 300000 persons stay in the open

The suffering of the displaced people is continuing, those who fled the horror of military operations which have been started by the regime forces with Russian support since the 19th of June 2018, the displaced people who refused to return to their villages and towns over which the regime forces imposed their control, and also those which are still under the control of the factions although the military operations have stopped in most of areas, for fear of the resumption of them at any time, but on the contrary, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the number of displaced people has increased to about 300000 persons, which made the cities, towns and villages of Daraa to be almost empty from their residents, who fled the horror of the insane shelling which was carried out by the regime forces and Russian warplanes, where the SOHR monitored the death of 132 citizens including 25 children and 23 women, who have been killed since 19th of June 2018, some of those displaced people headed to the Jordanian border and stayed in the open hoping that they are allowed to cross the border, some headed towards villages on the border with the occupied Golan such as Bariqa and Al-Ashah, and some others stayed in the open in agricultural lands adjacent their towns such as Tell Shihab, Zayzun, Ashari, Al-Ajami and others, and the displaced people are suffering deteriorating living conditions, in addition to spreading the diseases and the absence of relief, as well as the lack of food and medicine, and the displacement of citizens is continuing, although Ahmed Al-Ouda justified that he agreed to bow to the Russian proposals as it will allow the citizens return their homes with the stop of the military operation.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published two days ago, Saturday the 30 of June 2018, that it monitored the displacement of more than 120000 citizens, as a result of the heavy shelling and military operations, where the local sources confirmed that at least 5 persons were killed in the past 48 hours due to the poor health and living conditions, and the tragic humanitarian situation, where the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that it monitored the increase of number of displaced people to more than 120000, they were displaced by the military operation and intensive shelling on their cities, towns, and villages, after thousands of air and missile strikes in 10 days of military operations, and in the details documented by the Syrian Observatory: the eastern countryside of Daraa is almost completely empty of civilians, where tens of thousands have displaced to the Syrian – Jordanian border hoping to cross to the Jordanian territory or to be in a place where the regime forces and the warplanes cant target them, others have fled to areas controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, at the border with the occupied Syrian Golan, while others have displaced to areas controlled by the regime forces in the area after the regime’s open for 2 crossing points and 3 shelter centers in the northern and northwestern countryside of Daraa, and in the western and northwestern countryside of Daraa tens of thousands have displaced to the border with the occupied Golan at the countryside of Quneitra, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that more than 6000 families from Nawa city have left their homes, and more than 400 family have displaced to areas controlled by “Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid” which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization in Yarmouk Basin west of Daraa.
