After Daraa agreement…the countryside of Al-Quneitra witnesses the eruption of violent fighting between the regime forces against the factions near the border with the occupied Golan

Al-Quneitra Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent clashes taking place in the vicinity and outskirts of al-Baath city and Khan Arnabah town in the central sector of Al-Quneitra countryside, between the rebel and Islamic factions against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, in an attack carried out by the factions on the positions of the regime forces accompanied by intensive rocket shelling, where shells fell on places in al-Baath city and Khan Arnabah town which are controlled by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, and it was accompanied by shelling by the regime forces on the factions’ positions in the vicinity of the area, while violent explosions rocked Khan Arnabah town which is controlled by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, in the central countryside of Al-Quneitra, they were caused by Israeli rocket targeting to the area, without information about the amount of casualties and material damage so far.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 19th of June 2018, that it was confirmed that a drone was shot down in the area of Hodr in the northern countryside of Al-Quneitra, within the liberated Syrian Golan, near the border line with the occupied Syrian Golan, while it was flying over the area, where intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory, that the Israeli drone was shot down by being targeted by gunmen loyal to the regime forces in the area, and the SOHR published on the 17th of May 2018, that explosions were heard on the border between the occupied Syrian Golan and Al-Quneitra countryside, caused by Israeli targeting to a drone which entered the skies of the occupied Golan, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has not been able to determine until now whether this drone is affiliated to the regime forces and their allies or of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, which controls about 275 km of Yarmouk Basin in the western part of Daraa countryside.
