With the continuation of citizens to return to their villages and towns in Daraa…11 military parties announce all-around mobilization and the formation of “Jaysh Al-Janob” to fight against the regime and the Russians
Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that thousands of citizens are still continuing to return from the areas where they have been displaced, to their villages and towns in the south-eastern countryside of Daraa and the western countryside of the province, where the process of return takes place consecutively, in conjunction with fears by thousands others of returning to their villages and towns from which they have been displaced, for fear of being arrested by the regime forces or driving their sons and those who defaulted the compulsory military service, to the ranks of their forces, as it happened in the Eastern Ghouta and the south of the capital, amid information about starting preparations for registering the names of those who refuse the agreement and will leave to the Syrian North, in order to prepare buses and transport them to the destination they chose.
In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that 11 military parties in Daraa province and the Syrian South, issued a statement announcing their dissociation and merger under the name “Jaysh Al-Janob”, in order to “unify the ranks and unify the military and political decision and retain the constants of the revolution”, and the formed army includes the factions of Jaysh Al-Ababil, Qasioun Brigades, the military council in Al-Harrah, Wa I’tasimo Operation Roam, Jidur Hauran Brigades, Ahrar Qita Brigades, Al-Nasr Al-Mubeen Operation Roam, Soyouf Al-Haq Roam, the military council in Tasil, Jaysh Al-Thawra in Jidur area, and the aligned factions from the eastern area, and these formations called on the factions operating in the Syrian South to join Jaysh Al-Janob, and the statement, a copy of which was obtained by the Syrian Observatory, said “we announce all-around mobilization and the readiness to receive all who want to join the ranks and unify the word of those who are from the south, and we emphasize that our decision is to fight for our dignity and our land and we promise Allah that we will grant our blood for the sake of our land”
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago, that it monitored during 24 hours, from yesterday afternoon, Friday, and until today at 4:00 pm, Saturday the 7th of July 2018, that more than 28000 displaced people returned to the towns and villages of Bosra al-Sham, Ghasm, Al-Tayba, Om al-Mayathen, Nasib, Ma’araba, Kherbeh, al-Sahwa, Jbib, al-Jiza, Om Walad, al-Msifra and Eastern al-Gharya, amid continued return of citizens after stopping the military operations, in the wake of the agreement that was reached between the Russian side and between the representatives of Daraa province, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored that the displaced people are still refusing to return to the towns of al-Hrak, Sayda, Al-Naimah, Bosr al-Harir, Nahta, al-Sorah and Kahil, which are witnessing thefts by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, where the residents are fearing of repeating a scenario similar to that one which took place in the Eastern Ghouta, when the regime forces ignored the Russian guarantees and arrested and took hundreds of young men from the cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and from the shelter centers and recruited them in the ranks of their army, and local centers confirmed to the SOHR that they are afraid of the Russia’s non-commitment to its guarantees towards the residents and of being arrested, as well as their fears of the deliberated ignore by the regime to the Russian guarantees towards the agreement which was reached between the representatives of Daraa and the Russian side, amid fears of arresting their sons and the young men who defaulted the compulsory military service, and of driving them to perform the military service in the regime’s military headquarters and barracks.
