The clashes return to al-Suwaidaa Desert and ISIS attacks sites of the regime forces and their allies northeast of the Province

Al-Suwaidaa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory monitored clashes between members of the “Islamic State” Organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in areas at al-Radima, and the hills of Barakat and Alya in the northeastern Desert of al-Suwaidaa, accompanied by shelling and exchange of targeting, amid information about casualties in the ranks of both parties of the clashes, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 28th of June 2018 that the north-eastern desert of Al-Suwaidaa in Al-Suwaidaa countryside, is witnessing decreased pace of clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, within the regime’s repositioning and rearrangement of their ranks, after the organization managed in the past 48 hours, to achieve advancement at the expense of the regime forces and impose its control on a number of areas in the north-eastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, after violent counter attack by the organization, through which it managed to advance at the expense of the regime forces, also the clashes resulted in the fall of casualties and wounded in the ranks of the both parties, where the SOHR documented the killing of 13 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, in addition to the killing of 5 members at least of the organization, and the clashes and exchange of targeting on the contact areas between the both parties, also resulted in the fall of wounded in their ranks.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it monitored an escalation by the “Islamic State” organization in the area and its attack on positions of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in order to regain control of the areas to which the regime forces had advanced earlier and to cause them more casualties, where violent clashes took place between both parties in the areas of al-Hbiriyyeh, Khirbat al-Ambashi, Bir al-Akal, and Soh al-Majidi in the northeastern countryside of al-Suwaidaa, amid advancement by the organization and controlling points and sites in the area, and killed and injured several members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

The Syrian Observatory for human rights published on the 13th of June 2018, that the northeastern desert of al-Suwaidaa in the Syrian south is witnessing the continuation of military operations by the regime forces and their allies in the area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the decline in frequency of clashes between the regime Forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization, where the decline in violence of the combat operations in the northeastern sector of al-Suwaidaa province; came as a result of the failure of the regime forces and their allies in regaining control of the sites and areas to which the “Islamic State” organization has advanced more than a week ago, although the regime forces managed to achieve advancement in the area and controlled several villages, hills and locations, but they could not expel the organization from the province towards the Syrian desert, and these clashes between the regime forces and the Syrian and non-Syrians gunmen loyal to them are taking place near areas controlled by the Coalition, about 50 km away from the International Coalition Forces’ controlled area in al-Tanf, which is between the deserts of Rif Dimashq and Homs, where the Syrian Observatory published a few days ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of violent clashes between the regime forces supported by the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, against members of the “Islamic State” Organization in areas in the northeastern Desert to al-Suwaidaa province south of Syria, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the regime forces continue their offensive in the area against Organization, and controlling more places and sites they lost in the areas of Telal al-Safa and the nearby gatherings and villages, and the intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the regime forces have sent for more reinforcements of their members and the forces of their allies to the north-eastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, to participate in ending the presence of the organization in the area, after the organization managed to expand its control in the area.
