Assassination attempt targets the Judge Sheikh Anas Ayrout in Idlib city within the security chaos that killed 227 people including about 50 civilians in more than 11 weeks
Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: assassinations continue in the Syrian north through IED detonations and bullets, leaving more casualties among the factions operating in the area, amid inability of the factions working in the area to restrain stop these assassinations, and their inability to capture all the sleeper cells of the “Islamic State” organization and the other unknown parties, which increased the resentment of the people due to this continuous and increased security chaos since the 26th of April 2018, in Idlib Province and the connected parts from the countryside of Hama and Aleppo.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a violent explosion that shook Idlib city, caused by the targeting the car of the Sheikh Anas Ayrout by unidentified gunmen with an IED, where the Sheikh Anas Ayrout is the dean of the Faculty of Sharia in the University of Idlib and the President of the Court of Appeal, he is from the coastal city of Baniyas. The explosion injured him along with several others people who accompanied him and of who were at the place of detonation, Ayrout is from Baniyas city and he was amongst the first people to organize demonstrations and activities against Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Baniyas city since the beginning of the Syrian revolution in mid-March 2011, the Syrian Observatory also monitored the assassination of the “President of the Security Committee” of the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, where he was shot by unknown assailants in Qal’aat al-Madiq in the northwestern countryside of Hama, also 2 fighters of a faction were assassinated by gunfire on the road to Sarmada in the northern countryside of Idlib, while a fighter of the factions was shot by unidentified gunmen near Ayn al-Bared in the western countryside of Idlib, where the 4 assassinations took place since after midnight of yesterday until dawn of today, also a mine exploded in the area between Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib, where the mine targeted a car belongs to a faction working in the area, and information about wounded.
And with the fall of more casualties it rose to 227, the number of people who were assassinated in Idlib countryside and both Aleppo and Hama countryside, they are the wife of an Uzbek commander and his son, in addition to 49 civilians including 8 children and 3 women, of who were assassinated through bomb explosions, IED detonations, shooting, abduction, murder and then throwing the bodies in remote areas, and 151 fighters of Syrian nationality belong to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, al-Sham Corps, the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Izza, and other factions operating in Idlib, and 25 fighters of Uzbek, Asian, Gulf, Jordanian and Caucasian nationalities have been assassinated in the same ways since the 26th of April 2018, also the assassination attempts have injured tens of people with varying severity, while the factions stepped up their raids and operations against sleeper cells they accused of belonging to the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published days ago that Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham arresting a commander defected of the “Islamic State” organization, he is Jordanian nationality commander and he moved to the ranks of jihadist organizations within Syria about 5 years ago, where in recent weeks information about his disappearance was spread following his announcement of defection, because he accused the Organization of asking people to arbitrate the Sharia of ALLAH and not applying it to itself, and because of the corruption of judges and officials in the Organization, and the fact that they were not judging by the rules of ALLAH as a result of being under the control of the security services of the Organization, and the sources confirmed that the leader was arrested in al-Dana area in the northern countryside of Idlib near the Syrian – Iraqi border.
