The regime’s helicopters drop explosive barrels on Jabal Al-Akrad in Latakia countryside
Latakia Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the helicopters dropped explosive barrels today evening, Thursday, on places in Jabal Al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, along with the continued rocket shelling on places in the area, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that the warplanes targeted again and for the 3rd consecutive day, areas in the northern countryside of Latakia and the western countryside of Idlib, which are geographically connected, as well as the west-northern countryside of Hama adjacent them, where the Syrian Observatory monitored that the warplanes carried out 5 raids at least on places in Kabanah area in Latakia countryside, the warplanes also bombed areas in the villages of Allej and Qastun in Sahl Al-Ghab, as well as other areas in Muhambal town and in the village of Kanisat Bani Ezz in the western countryside of Idlib, which resulted in the fall of wounded, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday, that warplanes have been continuing their targeting for the 2nd consecutive day, to areas to the northern countryside of Latakia and the adjacent western countryside of Idlib, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes carried out raids on areas in the villages and towns of Al-Mozra, Al-Rami and Urum in Idlib countryside, and the warplanes also bombed by several raids, places in the areas of Jabal Al-Akrad and Kabanah in the north-eastern countryside of Latakia, the SOHR also monitored targeting by the regime forces to areas in Furaykah village, and other areas in Bdama town in Jisr Al-Shughur countryside in the western countryside of Idlib, which killed a citizen and injured others, in conjunction with dropping explosive barrels on areas in the towns of Al-Najiyeh and Al-Kandah, adjacent to the eastern countryside of Latakia, but no information was reported about casualties.
And these raids come after a surprising attack two days ago, by the factions on positions of the regime forces in the northern countryside of Latakia, inflicting substantial losses in the ranks of the regime forces, and after calm that prevailed the western countryside of Idlib and the northern countryside of Latakia since yesterday after midnight, and the Syrian Observatory published today morning that places and areas in Jabal Al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, were subjected to rocket shelling by the regime forces after the midnight of Tuesday – Wednesday, without information about injuries, within renewed shelling on the area for the 2nd consecutive day after the most violent attack in about 3 years in the mountains of Latakia, where the SOHR published yesterday that it monitored the death of 27 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them including 8 officers, who where killed in the shelling and violent clashes in the Otayrah area which is near the Syrian border with Iskenderun, on Monday night, the 9th of July 2018, and the violent and surprising attack by the factions resulted in the injury of more than 40 other members of the regime forces and their allies, while the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions, and the clashes also resulted in the fall of human losses in the ranks of the attacking factions.
