The regime forces and their allies achieve a major advancement controlling Daraa’s part of Muthallath al-Mawt almost completely after hundreds of hysterical air and ground strikes
Muthallath al-Mawt (the triangle of death) is witnessing an increased advancement by the regime forces and their allies, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces achieving a large advancement in Muthallath al-Mawt almost entirely through military control of the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to control al-Hara city and its hill which is the highest one in Daraa province, and also they controlled the towns of Samlin, al-Tiha, and Zamreen, also by this advancement the regime forces were able to surround al-Mal village and Aqraba town completely, by advancing in the above-mentioned towns, and as a result of the advancement that took place yesterday through regime’s control over MasHara town, which was coincided with intense shelling by the regime forces, helicopters, and warplanes, by about 1350 raids, shells, and barrel bombs including more than 250 raids and barrels targeted the Muthallath al-Mawt in the northwestern countryside of Daraa and in the mid-sector countryside of Al-Quneitra.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a negotiation process that is taking place between the regime forces and between representatives of Aqraba town and al-Mal village, in an attempt to add them to regime forces’ controlled areas via “settlement and reconciliation”, as happened in tens of villages and towns in the countryside of Daraa, of which the regime forces added to its controlled areas since the 19th of June 2018, and in the same context, the clashes continue in places in Muthallath al-Mawt area, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the factions, where the clashes are concentrated in the mid-sector countryside of al-Quneitra, in conjunction with targeting and destroying vehicles, where the factions have been able to damage two vehicles at least of the regime forces, also clashes are accompanied by continued aerial and rocket bombardment and shelling, while the number of casualties continues to rise as a result of the continuation of clashes, which is accompanied by aerial, rocket and artillery shelling and targeting the clash areas, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the rise of number of casualties, where the Syrian Observatory documented the death of at least 35 fighters of the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, the majority of them are members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, while it rose to 26 at least -including about 5 officers and including a regiment commander- the number of casualties of members of the regime forces, also tens of both parties were injured with varying severity, which may raise the number of casualties.
