After bringing large reinforcements, SDF and International Coalition continue their attack on Hajin town in the last enclave of ISIS on the eastern bank of Euphrates

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of military operations in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory, the clashes continue at a violent pace between the Syria Democratic forces supported by the International Coalition against members of the “Islamic State” Organization, in places in Hajin area which is located in the last enclave of the Organization at the east bank of Euphrates River, where the Syria Democratic Forces were able to advance and control sites, while the clashes continue violently amid bombing by the International Coalition every now and then on the town, in an attempt to prepare for the advancement and inflict the largest number possible of casualties in the ranks of the organization, also they seek to advance and control Hajin town and the entire remaining enclave of the organization at the eastern bank of Euphrates, where SDF are trying to advance after the withdrawal of ISIS members and fleeing to other towns within this enclave.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published about 24 hours ago that a large military column of the International Coalition’s forces, moved and became close to the Syrian – Iraqi border, where it stationed in an area near Al-Baghuz town which is located in at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored accelerated military preparations by the International Coalition’s forces along with bringing vehicles, equipment, reinforcements, missile platforms, reaching the helicopters which accompany these reinforcements, at the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, while confusion still surrounds the reasons for bringing these large amounts of weapons and equipment which are greater than the needs for taking the control of a small enclave that includes a number of villages and towns in a small geographical area, and these reinforcements are coincided with ongoing clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in the vicinity of Hajin area which frequently witnesses operations by the Coalition and the SDF, and exchange of targeting in the clash areas between the both parties.

Also, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that members believed to be of the “Islamic State” organization, attacked positions of the SDF in al-Hwaij area in the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, near Al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which resulted in the fall of human losses in the ranks of the SDF, where the attackers raised the organization’s flag in the junction to Ziban town, while local sources accused the regime forces of being responsible for this attack on the SDF positions east of the Euphrates, while the Syrian Observatory monitored on Thursday the 12th of July 2018, the death of 54 persons at least in the bombardment by warplanes on a gathering at an ice factory in Mozan Junction area east of al-Susah town, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that among the total number of casualties there are 28 civilians, the majority of them are Iraqi nationals of who took refuge earlier in the Syrian territory, while the rest of casualties are members of the “Islamic State” organization of both Syrian and Iraqi nationalities, and the rise in number of casualties was accompanied by shelling by the Syria Democratic Forces on areas in the towns of al-Shafa, Sousah and Hajin, in the last enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization at the eastern bank of Euphrates river in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in conjunction with clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the vicinity of Hajin area, in an attempt by the Coalition and SDF to advance in the area at the expense of the Organization which tries to repel the advancement of the factions in the area.
