Tens of casualties and wounded in hysterical shelling on Nawa city – the last city beyond the regime’s control in Daraa province and the city with the largest population in the province

The western countryside of Daraa witnessed insane shelling in the past 3 hours of today’s evening, Tuesday the 17th of July 2018, which targeted the areas remaining beyond the regime’s control in the province for the opposition factions, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the regime forces targeted by more than 350 missiles and more than 40 explosive barrels and airstrikes, areas in Nawa city and its vicinity as well as the area of Tell Al-Jabiyyah and Tal Al-Jumou’, in a sudden escalation on the last city which is beyond the regime’s control and which has the largest population, in Daraa province, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the intensive shelling resulted in the fall of substantial human losses, where tens of people were killed and injured, amid great difficulty to carry out rescue operations or relief the wounded, as a result of the intensity of shelling, and the difficulty of transporting the wounded to other areas due to monitoring all the roads that connect the city to its vicinity, the SOHR also received information about putting one of the hospitals in the city out of service.

And the Syrian Observatory monitored artillery and rocket shelling which targeted areas in Nab’ al-Sakhr, in conjunction with shelling on other areas in both central and southern sectors of Al-Quneitra countryside, and sources suggested that it is an attempt by the regime forces to prepare for an attack on the area, and with more artillery and rocket shelling, it rose to 1980, the number of raids and barrel bombs that targeted the countryside of Quneitra and Muthallath al-Mawt in the northwest of Daraa during the past 48 hours, since the dawn of yesterday, Sunday, the 15th of July 2018, until now, Tuesday, the 17th of the same month, including more than 390 airstrikes and barrel bombs, while the SOHR monitored hours ago, that it rose to 14 at least, the number of citizens who were killed and documented by the SOHR in the massacre which took place as a result of the bombardment on Ayn al-Tinah town today morning, the 17th of July 2018, and the Syrian Observatory learned that among the death toll, there are 4 women and 5 children, while some of the corpses were turned into pieces and others were charred as a result of the intensity of bombardment which targeted the town, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions, thus, it rose to at least 180 including 37 children and 37 women, the number of civilians casualties who were killed since the 19th June 2018.
