Trusted sources reported to SOHR that thousands of civilians including women and children demonstarted in al-Mashehad, Salah al-Din and al-Sekkari in Aleppo, Homs countryside, Der-Ezor, Damascus southern countryside, western al-Ghouta, Dar’a and Idlib countryside, and other areas against the offensive caricatures of the prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him published by Charlie Hebdo, the demonstrators called for the respect of religions and not to harm the religious rites.
