As Euphrates Dam, both al-Baath and October Dams on Euphrates River witness the return of engineers and technicians to them under military and security control by SDF

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources that al-Baath Dam which is located in the eastern countryside of al-Tabaqa, and Teshreen Dam in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo -which are both on Euphrates River- witnessed the return of engineers, workers, and technicians to them just like Euphrates Dam, in order to start the reforms in these 3 dams on Euphrates River, which fall within the areas that are controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces and supported by International Coalition, and the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the 3 dams will remain under the security and military control of the Syria Democratic Forces, while the employees, technicians, and workers will return to the 3 dams to supervise and operate them and generate the same power they used to generate in the past, while the internationally-recognized Syrian flag is prohibited from being raised except in in the office of the director of the dam and in front of the gate of the building.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday night that reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the news about handing over the strategic dam of the Euphrates, which is adjacent to Al-Tabaqa city, by the Syria Democratic Forces to the regime forces, is completely false, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the dam witnessed the return of engineers and technicians in order to carry out needed repairs and reactivate the dam in its full power as it was usual previously, while the dam is still under military and security control of the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the SDF do not have enough experience to make the dam continue to work, and they also do not have the ability to repair the damage in the dam to reactivate it in the same energy that it used to be, before the regime forces lost their control on it, where the dam supplies large Syrian areas with electric power.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published in the first third of May 2018, that the SDF managed to impose their control over the strategic dam of the Euphrates near Al-Tabaqa city, on the Euphrates River, after the “Islamic State” organization have controlled it for 3 years, where the SDF took the control of it during the “Euphrates Shield” Operation, during which the SDF managed to impose their control over large spaces of Al-Raqqah province, and on Al-Tabaqa area in the west of the Euphrates, as well as other areas opposite Al-Raqqah city on the western banks of the Euphrates River.
