Renewed bombardment targets the north-west of Daraa and Yarmouk Basin leaving more casualties and wounded of the citizens who were used by the organization as human shields
Explosions rocked areas in the north-western countryside of Daraa and other areas in Yarmouk Basin once again, as a result of renewed bombardment on the area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on places in Tell Al-Jabiyah and other areas in the north-western countryside of Daraa as well as the part which is connected to it of the controlled areas of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed in the western sector of the countryside of Daraa province, along with bombardment by warplanes on the area, which resulted in the fall of more human losses in Tasil town and other areas in Yarmouk Basin, the bombardment also resulted in the fall of wounded and caused destruction and damage to the property of the citizens, the SOHR also monitored the fall of shells on areas in al-Baath city which is controlled by the regime forces, in the central countryside of Al-Quneitra, which caused material damage, without information about casualties.
The Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that intense bombardment for the second consecutive day which returned to the area after stopping for 5 days, coincides with the continuation of the deteriorate of humanitarian situation for more than 30000 civilians, who are trapped in Yarmouk Basin, where Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid continues to prevent them from getting out of its controlled areas and it is taking them as human shields in an attempt to prevent the regime forces from targeting the area, but the regime forces did not carte for the fate of more than 30000 civilians, and bombard the area with tens of missiles and shells, while the Syrian Observatory documented on Tuesday, the 17th of July 2018 that that 2 citizens including a child, were killed as a result of bombardment by a warplane believed to be Russian, which targeted areas in Tasil town which is controlled by Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, which resulted in the fall of a number of wounded, also the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that the raids on Tasil are the first raids to target the area of Yarmouk Basin in 5 days after the bombardment which was coincided with the clashes which took place at this time, against the rebel and Islamic factions.
The Syrian Observatory also published today, Wednesday, that it obtained information from several reliable sources that an agreement was reached on Nawa area, the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the “settlement” that was reached in Nawa area is based on handing over the hills around Nawa town to the regime forces and the withdrawal of the factions, and handing over a part of the heavy and medium weapons and temporarily keeping some of them due to the close proximity to the areas that are controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, thereafter, a process of settling the situations of civilians, fighters, and the defected persons who want to settle their situations, and transfer those who refuse the “reconciliation” to the Syrian north, dissidents are chosen between returning to the military service or demobilizing, and granting a six months period to those who are in the age of the compulsory service, the agreement also confirms that the regime forces will not enter Nawa and they will just raise the internationally-recognized flag of the regime in the city, which has the largest people density in Daraa province, and the return of regime’s government institutions, the service institutions, and employees to their work in Nawa city.
