Buses arrive in Al-Quneitra countryside to start to displace those who refuse the agreement of the province’s destiny and the regime forces expand their scope of control in its countryside and shell the controlled areas of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces managed to expand their scope of control and imposed their control over the remaining hills and positions of Daraa province where Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham used to be located, along with their expansion in Al-Quneitra countryside, where the regime forces took the control of the hill of Al-Jabiyah and the villages of Qarqas and Al-Sokkariyeh in the wake of detonating a booby trapped vehicle in Al-Sokkariyeh, which caused material damage amid information about the fall of human losses in this detonation, while this advancement was coincided with the arrival of a number of buses in Al-Quneitra countryside, to start to implement the agreement which was reached in the province under a Russian supervision, which leads to the return of the situations to what they used to be before 2011, as well as the exit of those who refuse the agreement towards the Syrian North, and it is expected that the displacement processes of more citizens and gunmen will start in the next few hours towards the Syrian North, thus, the file of the Syrian South is almost closed with the exception of the areas where Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham are located, after a whole month of military operations against the opposition rebel and Islamic factions operating in both Daraa and Al-Quneitra countryside.
On the other hand, the province of Daraa still embraces another faction, which is Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization, where it is in control of about 15 villages and towns in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, at the border with Jordan and the occupied Syrian Golan, where the regime forces are preparing for carrying out a military operation against this army, in the next days, while the Syrian Observatory monitored aerial and rocket shelling which targeted areas in the town of Ayn Thakar as well as places in the area of Tal Al-Jumou’, which caused material damage, without information about casualties.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning, that it monitored reaching an agreement under the Russian supervision about the fate of al-Quneitra province, which includes all the areas in the province except the areas that are under the control of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and in the details that the Syrian Observatory obtained: an agreement was reached which provides for the exit of all those who refuse the agreement of fighters, their families, and other civilians to the Syrian north, in addition to handing over heavy and medium-sized weapons on stages, the entry of the Russian military police into the towns and villages of Quneitra, and settling situations of those who are due to the conscription service and the return of displaced people to their towns and villages, while the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the process of registering names of people who refuse the agreement and wishing to leave towards the Syrian north had begun.
Also, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources that regime’s authorities have reached an agreement with the factions operating in Sheikh Saad area in the countryside of Daraa, based on the return of government institutions, raising the internationally-recognized flag of the regime, and handing over the heavy and medium weapons by the factions operating in the area, and with this agreement about the areas that are controlled by the opposition factions operating in Daraa; the regime forces have been able to completely end the presence of the rebel and Islamic factions from Daraa Province, except for some hills in which groups of members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham are present, where the cities, towns, and villages of Daraa province which used to be under the control of the factions, are now under the control of the regime forces completely, and they have been added either through combat and military operations, or through “reconciliations and settlements” since the 19th of June 2018, while the remaining areas are controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization in Yarmouk Basin, and still outside of regime forces’-controlled areas, they consist about 7.2% of the area of Daraa Province, where a mobilization is underway to carry out a military operation on the area, which is located in the triangle of Jordan border – the occupied Golan border – Quneitra and Daraa, also the intense bombardment for the second consecutive day which returned to the area after stopping for 5 days, coincides with the continuation of the deteriorate of humanitarian situation for more than 30000 civilians, who are trapped in Yarmouk Basin, where Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid continues to prevent them from getting out of its controlled areas and it is taking them as human shields in an attempt to prevent the regime forces from targeting the area, but the regime forces did not carte for the fate of more than 30000 civilians, and bombard the area with tens of missiles and shells, while the Syrian Observatory documented on Tuesday, the 17th of July 2018 that that 2 citizens including a child, were killed as a result of bombardment by a warplane believed to be Russian, which targeted areas in Tasil town which is controlled by Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, which resulted in the fall of a number of wounded, also the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that the raids on Tasil are the first raids to target the area of Yarmouk Basin in 5 days after the bombardment which was coincided with the clashes which took place at this time, against the rebel and Islamic factions.
