Leader in Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham assaults members of Shura Council of Khan Shaykhun in retaliation for not being nominated in the list of the local council of the city

Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for human rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources, who have confirmed that an assault on Shura Council of Khan Shaykhun city took place yesterday night, the 22nd of July 2018, and in the details obtained by the Observatory: a group leader in Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham stormed the session of the Shura Council of Khan Shaykhun accompanied by about 15 of his fighters with their full weapons, where they surrounded the meeting and stormed it, then they insulted members of the Council and beat them, which wounded several of them, including the head of the Council the defected colonel from the regime forces Talal al-Najm, and intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that this was caused by al-Sermani because his name was removed from the formation of the Local Council of Khan Shaykhun city; whose members were appointed 2 days ago, and the sources confirmed that the Shura Council held previous meetings with Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham to remove the latter from Khan Shaykhun, but Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham threatened to cut electricity and bread from the city, which pushed the Council in a meeting to ask Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham to withdraw from Khan Shaykhun area and to carry out all its threats, but Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham Sham did not agree to withdraw from the area. Sources noted that Shura Council was previously formed by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, but it overturned on it and is repeatedly trying to force it to withdraw from Khan Shaykhun and get out of it.
