The violent aerial and ground shelling and the continuation of violent clashes raise to about 140, the number of casualties of civilians, regime’s members, and Jaysh Khalid in 5 days of escalation
Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: clashes continue in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, with the military parties’ continuation for the intense aerial and ground shelling, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored intensive aerial bombardments on Jellin, Sahm al-Golan, the Libyan Company, Ashtra, Tal al-Jumou’, Tasil, and other areas on the road between Ayn al-Thakar and Naf’aa, where the aerial bombardment caused casualties and wounded, where the sources of the Syrian Observatory confirmed that at least 4 people were killed including a woman and others were injured with varying severity, raising to 41 at least including 11 children and 5 citizen women, the number of casualties since the 19th of July 2018, if who were killed in bombardments by warplanes and helicopters and shelling by the regime forces on Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, and the renewal of the aerial bombardment; have raised the number of airstrikes that targeted Yarmouk Basin area, where it rose to more than 2040, the number of strikes that were carried out by Russian warplanes and regime’s warplanes and the helicopter, amid shelling by hundreds of missiles and artillery, rocket, tank and mortar shells on the area since the 19th of July 2018, the date of the start of regime’s operation against Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid, while the heavy aerial and missile bombardments have killed at least 40 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and at least 57 members of Jaysh killed Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization, while tens of both parties were injured with varying severity, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation of both parties.
The Syrian Observatory also published last Friday that this intense shelling was coincided advancement by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid in the wake of the emptying factions’ controlled areas adjacent to the areas that are controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid in Yarmouk Basin, where it advanced in the areas of al-Bakkar, al-Jbyliyyeh, al-Ma’alaqa, al-Maja’eid, Ayn Zubeida, al-Abdali, Abu Hajar, and other areas adjacent to them, which expanded the size of areas controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid to about 8% of Daraa Province area, also this is the second expansion of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization in the vicinity of the Yarmouk Basin, after their controlled days ago Hayt town, following violent clashes against the rebel and Islamic factions that carried out “reconciliation” with the regime, where back then an agreement imposed on them to hand over their heavy weapons and to withdraw towards other areas in Daraa province, and these insane bombardments and shelling also come with the continuation of fears for lives of more than 30000 civilians taken as human shields by Jaysh Khalid, where the civilians continue to flee the towns which are under Russian holocaust in the area, towards border areas with the occupied Syrian Golan.
