About 75 civilians, ISIS members, and gunmen of al-Suwaidaa were killed in about 7 hours of violent clashes and bombings in the province

Al-Suwaidaa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of violent clashes in the countryside of al-Suwaidaa, along with the increase of the Human casualties, where the violent clashes continue between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the villages of al-Shabaki, al-Sharihi, al-Mtuneh, Rami, al-Swimrah, Tima, Douma and other points and locations in the area amid exchange of targeting, were the fighters loyal to the regime were able to advance after they brought military reinforcement to the area, in addition to being able to start counterattacks, where several villages are witnessing hit-and-run operations and an attempts by regime’s loyal gunmen to expel the Organization out of them, after the recent attack dawn of today, Wednesday, the 25th of July 2018.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the increase of death toll, where it rose to 54 at least, the number of people who were killed in al-Suwaidaa province, and they are 22 civilians including 6 women, and 32 gunmen loyal to the regime from al-Suwaidaa province, all of whom were killed by gunfire from members of the Organization during the clashes between both parties, and some of them were executed directly, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, also it rose to 21 at least, the number of members of the “Islamic State” organization including the 4 suicide bombers who blew themselves up using explosive belts, all of them were killed in the attacks and clashes in al-Suwaidaa province since the dawn of the 25th of July 2018, while SOHR received information that members of the Organization were able to abduct civilians and they took them to their controlled areas in the northern desert of al-Suwaidaa, with fears for the lives of those abducted of the inhabited villages connected to the Syrian Desert.

The Syrian Observatory documented on Wednesday morning, 4 members of the “Islamic State” organization detonating themselves using explosive belts in the slaughterhouse area, near the vegetable market, al-Mishnaqa roundabout, and al-Najmeh roundabout, all are located in al-Suwaidaa city and in the eastern and northeastern countryside of al-Suwaidaa, which caused material damage and human losses, while tension prevails al-Suwaidaa city and the villages connected its desert from the escalation of attack by ISIS, and the regime forces not being able to re-control them, where the clashes are accompanied by shelling targeted areas of presence of the organization in the countryside of al-Suwaidaa.
