In the highest daily death toll in Al-Suwaidaa province since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution…about 300 persons were killed and injured in attacks targeted the city and villages in its countryside
Al-Suwaidaa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continued violent fighting in Al-Suwaidaa Desert, as well as the continuation of human losses to increase as a result of the death of more citizens and local gunmen, as well as finding more bodies, where the SOHR monitored that the death toll has increased to 73 at least, the number of those who have been killed since today dawn, Wednesday the 25th of July 2018, they are 26 citizens including 9 women and a child, and 47 gunmen most of them are of the people of the villages that have been attacked, of those who took up arms to rebel the organization’s attack, while there are about 210 persons were injured with varying severity and are missing, where the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions, also confirmed information was received about the fact that the organization abducted a number of citizens and took them to its controlled areas in the north-eastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa.
In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of the violent fighting between the Pro-regime gunmen and people of Al-Suwaidaa countryside of those who took up arms against the members of the organization on one hand, against the members of the “Islamic State” organization on the other, which resulted in the death of more members of the organization, where it rose to 30 at least, the number of members of the “Islamic State” organization including the 4 suicide bombers who blew themselves up using explosive belts, all of them were killed in the attacks and clashes in al-Suwaidaa province since the dawn of the 25th of July 2018, amid the ability of the Pro-regime gunmen to advance again and take the control of a number of the villages and positions which they lost in this attack, the SOHR also documented today morning that members of the “Islamic State” organization detonating themselves using explosive belts in the slaughterhouse area, near the vegetable market, al-Mishnaqa roundabout, and al-Najmeh roundabout, all are located in al-Suwaidaa city and in the eastern and northeastern countryside of al-Suwaidaa, which caused material damage and human losses, while tension prevails al-Suwaidaa city and the villages connected its desert from the escalation of attack by ISIS, and the regime forces not being able to re-control them, where the clashes are accompanied by shelling targeted areas of presence of the organization in the countryside of al-Suwaidaa.
