Less than 24 hours after shooting down a warplane by Israel…the regime forces take the control of Sayda Al-Golan and the escalation of the death toll raises it to about 170 casualties

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of intensive bombardment which is accompanied by artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces and bombardment by warplanes on the area, where the Syria Observatory monitored that the warplanes targeted the controlled areas of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed in the western countryside of Daraa and the far southern countryside of Al-Quneitra, in conjunction with targeting by artillery and rocket shells to the same areas, raising to about 2260, the number of strikes which have been carried out by warplanes and helicopters affiliated to the regime and Russia, amid shelling by hundreds of missiles, artillery and rocket shells and mortar and tanks’ shells, on the area, since the 19th of July 2018, the date of starting the regime’s operation against Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, while this violent shelling is coincided with the continuation of violent clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, against Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, where the regime forces managed to achieve advancement in the area and take the control of positions in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa.

In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces managed to achieve advancement in the southern countryside of Al-Quneitra which is adjacent to Yarmouk Basin, and near the border with the occupied Syrian Golan, where the regime forces managed to take the control of Sayda Al-Golan village, as well as taking the control of farms near it, less than 24 hours after shooting down a Syrian warplane that was bombing the area of Sayda Al-Golan, where it was targeted by two missiles fired by the Israeli forces while it was turning in order to return to the airbase from which it took off, which resulted in killing a pilot captain in the regime forces, while the hit-and-run clashes are continuing between the both parties in an attempt by the regime force to end the presence of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed in the enclave which is located in the area of Yarmouk Basin west of Daraa province.

The violent clashes and bombardment resulted in the fall of more human losses, where it rose to 42 persons at least including 11 children and 5 citizen women, the number of people who have been killed since the 19th of July 2018, as a result of bombardment by warplanes and helicopters as well as the shelling by the regime forces on Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, while it rose to at least 54, the number of casualties of the members and officers of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, while it rose to at least 71, the number of casualties of the members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization, while tens of members in the ranks of the both parties were injured with varying severity, where the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions in the ranks of the both parties.
