ISIS members infiltrate from east of Euphrates to its west and attack again the regime forces and their allies near Mayadin–Bokamal road
Deir Ezzor province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored an attack in the areas where the regime forces and their allies are located west of Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: members of the “Islamic State” organization carried out an attack on the areas of Hasrat and al-Mojawdeh opposite to al-Sha’afah area, where violent clashes took place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in places in Hasrat and al-Mojawdeh areas, amid exchange of attacks between both parties which caused confirmed casualties and injuries in their ranks.
Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the attack began from al-Sha’fa area in the last enclave of ISIS at the east bank of Euphrates River, where ISIS members infiltrated through Euphrates River and then began their offensive, and the Syrian Observatory received on the 2nd of April 2014 information from several reliable sources that obtained information on the 2nd of April 2014, from a number of reliable sources, reporting that about 400 fighter of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, have crossed from the enclave east Euphrates -which is surrounded by the Syria Democratic Forces who are supported by the International Coalition- to the west of Euphrates River in the form of groups, where they crossed through al-Shafa area, after intense shelling by the “Islamic State” Organization on areas controlled by the regime and its loyal gunmen west of Euphrates River.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published 2 days ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the death of at least 8 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, as a result of an ambush carried out by members of the “Islamic State” organization in the southeastern desert of al-Bokamal city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the death toll is expected to rise because some of them are in critical situation, and information about other casualties, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published at the end of June 2018 that it monitored the eruption of violent clashes between the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” Organization, in the eastern desert of Deir Ezzor countryside west of Euphrates River, as a result of an attack by ISIS on al-Dwayr Desert which is less than 40 km to the west of al-Bokamal city, where the organization seeks through these attacks to disperse the regime forces and their allies, while the clashes were accompanied by exchange of targeting between both parties, amid confirmed information about casualties of both parties in the clashes, amid intense shelling by the regime forces on areas in the desert of Deir Ezzor.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 5th of July 2018 that the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, managed to restore most of positions which they had lost for members the “Islamic State” organization during its violent attack which targeted a front of about 100 km along the west banks of Euphrates River, from the west of Al-Bokamal to the east of Al-Mayadin, where the regime forces managed to attack again which forced the organization to leave its positions and withdraw to the Desert, in order to prevent the fall of large number of human losses in its ranks, and to be able to re-attack in the next days, where the organization aims through these repeated attacks, to confuse the regime, and to strain it and to inflict the largest possible number of casualties in the ranks of the regime and its allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fact that the Russian warplanes have not been intensively involved in supporting the regime forces and pushing the attack of the organization on the area, and the attacks which have completed 48 hours, resulted in the fall of a large number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties, the SOHR also published few days ago that the regime forces are continuing with their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, to bring military reinforcements to the Syrian Desert, where the regime forces brought again tens of military vehicles carrying equipment, weapons and ammunition as well as hundreds of members of the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the bringing of these reinforcements comes in an attempt by the regime forces to fortify their positions and strengthen their presence in the Syrian Desert, for fear of a mass offensive that may be carried out by the “Islamic State” organization against them in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor, in an attempt to expand its control over the enclaves that are under its control, and to revive its areas of control on the Syrian territory, in the wake of the attacks which are carried out either by the regime forces and their allies, or by the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition through its American, Italian, French and European forces, where the organization which is located in the triangle of Al-Sukhnah – Jabal Abu Rajeem – Al-Tibah in the west of Palmyra – Al-Sukhnah – Deir Ezzor Road, is seeking to expand its control even more amid successive preparations carried out by the organization to expand the scope of its attacks.
