After 2 attacks that killed 265 people on the outskirts of al-Suwaidaa desert and al-Khalkhala Airbase, an alert situation in the vicinity of the Airbase and on the line of the villages adjacent to the areas of presence of ISIS

Al-Suwaidaa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the northwestern countryside of al-Suwaidaa is witnessing a cautious calm since about 36 hours, following the second sudden attack by the “Islamic State” organization in the countryside of province since the 25th of July 2018, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored an alert situation among the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and the local gunmen; in the vicinity of al-Khalkhala Airbase, and other areas in the countryside of al-Suwaidaa and along the village line adjacent to areas of presence of the “Islamic State” Organization east and northeast of al-Suwaidaa province, in the wake of a sudden attack on al-Khalkhala Airbase by a group of the organization after midnight of yesterday, which targeted at the inside of the Airbase by several rocket shells which caused explosions that caused destruction and damage to military equipment inside the al-Khalkhala Airbase.

And with this second attack inside al-Suwaidaa Province, it rose to 265, the number of people who were killed as a result of the attacks by the “Islamic State” organization on Al-Suwaidaa city and its eastern and north-eastern countryside since the 25th of July 2018 until today the 2nd of August 2018, they are 142 civilians including 38 women and children, and 116 gunmen most of them are of the people of the countryside of Al-Suwaidaa province, who took up arms to rebel the violent and surprising attack of the organization, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored that the number of casualties in the ranks of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in this violent attack on Al-Suwaidaa countryside and Al-Suwaidaa city, and 7 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them were killed in the attack on Khalkhala Airbase.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that calm has returned to the countryside al-Suwaidaa province, after a series of artillery, rocket, and air attacks by the regime forces and warplanes on areas controlled by and areas of presence of the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern and northeastern desert of al-Suwaidaa, the and Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a cautious calm along with anticipation of the fate of the abductees, where yesterday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received information that the regime forces had opened the road in front of the remaining members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid, their families, and civilians to exit Yarmouk Valley towards the east of Yarmouk Basin, and transferring them to an unknown destination believed to be the Syrian Desert, after the regime forces have been able to control the entire villages and towns of Yarmouk Basin in the past 48 hours and restore Daraa Province completely except for a gathering in Yarmouk Valley, where SOHR received information during the past few hours about ending its presence after reaching a consensus about Yarmouk Basin, where the ambiguity is still surround how members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid and civilians will get out of Yarmouk Valley area, and whether they are will get out in exchange for releasing abductees of al-Suwaidaa countryside.
