Renewed targeting by tens of shells raises to about 1700, the number of artillery and rocket strikes which targeted the north of Hama province
Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces opened fire on the lands around Atshan area, which resulted in the injury of 2 persons at least, while the regime forces has escalated their shelling on areas in the northern sector of Hama countryside, for the 32 consecutive day, where they targeted this evening Al-Lataminah town, its vicinity and its surrounding lands as well as places in Kafr Zita town, by tens of shells, raising to more than 1690, the number of artillery and rocket shells that were launched by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them to, targeting areas in the northern, northeastern, and northwestern countryside of Hama during the last 32 days, where the rocket and artillery shelling targeted the villages and towns of the northern countryside of Hama such as al-Lataminah, Hasraya, Zakat, al-Janabera “al-Bana”, M’aarkbeh, al-Sayyad, Tal Osman, Hawash, and several other areas in this countryside.
It is noteworthy that these shelling -which was monitored by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights- caused several casualties and wounded in the areas were the shells fell, also the intense shelling which varied between today and the other caused more destruction in the above-mentioned villages and towns, which had previously witnessed similar and more violent shelling, which caused considerable destruction and serious material damage to the citizens’ property, infrastructure, public, and private facilities, as well as hundreds of casualties and wounded, where the shelling increases when violent clashes or major attacks erupt between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the rebel and Islamic factions.
