In conjunction with a security operation against those who want “reconciliation with the regime”, leaflets dropped over al-Fu’ah and Kafriya and Idlib countryside and pour oil on the fire of arrests

Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: helicopters dropped leaflets on the towns of Taftanaz, Kafriya, and al-Fu’ah in the northeastern countryside of Idlib, and on other areas in the southern countryside of Idlib, they read: “reconciliation is the master of judgments, our honored families: until when will you and your families live in fear and anxiety?, How long will your children remain without hope or future?, the war is near its end, it is time to stop blood shedding and ruin, we invite you to join the local reconciliation as many of our people in Syria have done, your cooperation with the Syrian Arab Army saves you from being controlled by the gunmen and terrorists and saves your life and your families, let us work together to restore security, stability, and reconstruction.” Another leaflet reads: “this is who we were in Syria before the terrorism and its gunmen, this is what terrorism has done in Syria and its people, the fate of your family and your children and your future is subject to your decision, quickly join the local reconciliation to bring back the smile and ensure the future.”

The leaflets coincide with a wide-ranging security operation against people accused of “getting closer to the regime and seeking reconciliation”, where the Syrian Observatory published this morning that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham continue carrying out raids and arrests in the villages of Mardebseh, Barisa, Tal Toqan, Samakah, Farwan, Ma’saran, Hazzan, and other villages located in the eastern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, within their continuous security campaign against those accused of being “ISIS cells and cooperating with the regime to carry out reconciliation”, and the Syrian Observatory monitored new arrests of several of them, and the raids were accompanied by fire exchange in Barisa village, amid information about killing one of “ISIS cells”, raising the number of people arrested in this continuous security operation for the 7th consecutive day to more than 200.

The Syrian Observatory published days ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored lootings of the property that remained in the towns of al-Fu’ah and Kafriya, whose people were evacuated to Aleppo province by a Russian – Turkish agreement, which was carried out and finished yesterday Friday, the 20th of July 2018, where the vehicles, tractors, private cars and house property were looted by members of Islamic factions; and were transferred to other areas in Idlib Province, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the death of 6 fighters as a result of mine explosions in al-Fu’ah and Kafriya which used to be inhabited by Shiite citizens, and they were evacuated according to a Russian – Turkish agreement and transferred to shelter centers in Aleppo.
