The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a state of alert in the triangle of Jisr al-Shughur – north of Lattakia – Sahl al-Ghab, and in the details monitored by the Syrian Observatory: the factions fortified the mentioned areas and opened roads between areas in Jabal al-Turkman and al-Teffahiyyeh, they also brought military reinforcements and transferred ammunition to the areas adjacent to the regime’s positions, and these reinforcements and operations come in conjunction with the renewed the shelling by the regime forces on areas in the western countryside of Jisr al-Shughur and the Latakia’s northern Mountains, also they come while the regime forces continue bringing military reinforcements to Hama, Idlib, and Latakia, where hundreds of soldiers and tens of armored vehicles and machinery were brought, as part of the preparation for a military operation in the triangle connecting the west of Jisr al-Shughur, Sahl al-Ghab at the northwest of Hama, and the northern mountains of Latakia, also the delay in carrying out the operation came as a result of the shift in clashes after controlling Daraa and Quneitra provinces, to al-Suwaidaa province.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that regime forces continue shelling areas in triangle of Sahl al-Ghab – Jisr al-Shughur – Lattakia Mountains , where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored during the past few hours shelling by the regime forces targeted areas in the villages of Zayzoun, al-Sirmaniyah, and Qlidin in Sahl al-Ghab, which caused the death of a woman in Zayzoun village and injured other people, also areas in the western countryside of Jisr al-Shughur and several areas in the northern countryside of Latakia were shelled by the regime forces, which caused material damage, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the shelling coincided with the continuation of bringing military reinforcements to Hama, Idlib, and Latakia by the regime forces, where they brought hundreds of soldiers, tens of armored vehicles and machinery, as part of the preparations for a military operation in the triangle that connects west Jisr al-Shughur, Sahl al-Ghab northwest of Hama, and the northern mountains of Latakia, also the delay in carrying out the operation came as a result of the shift of the control battles against the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra to al-Suwaidaa province.

And the Syrian Observatory published two days ago, that it monitored shelling in the past 24 hours, which was accompanied by the continuation of the regime forces to send military reinforcements of material, soldiers, vehicles and ammunition to the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, Sahl Al-Ghab area, and Lattaqia countryside, intersected sources suggested to the Syrian Observatory that these reinforcements are a part of a preparation for a military action that may be carried out in the triangle of Sahl al-Ghab – Lattakia Mountains – Jisr al-Shughur in the incoming few days, and the same sources suggested to the SOHR that the operation in this area has been delayed, as a result of the military operation which started in Al-Suwaidaa against the “Islamic State” organization, as well as the fact that the regime forces which took the control of Daraa and Al-Quneitra, headed towards Al-Suwaidaa province to fight against the organization, while it is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received in early June 2018, that members and officers of the Iranian Forces; and of the forces loyal them have withdrawn from Tall Rifaat area and its surroundings in the northern countryside of Aleppo, after Russian – Iranian disagreements about Russian – Turkish consultations to deliver Tall Rifaat to the Turkish Forces and the Syrian military opposition, in return for the withdrawal of the Syrian opposition factions from the triangle of west Jesr al-Shughur – Sahl al-Ghab – the northeastern countryside of Latakia. The withdrawal of the Iranian officers and members loyal to them coincided with the arrival of the Russian military vehicles, accompanied by regime’s vehicles to Tal Rifaat area, where it is suggested that they came to switch regime’s military units in the area, also the sources added that the consultations are underway about completing the opening of Gaziantep road, which connects Turkey to the southern border of Syria with Jordan, and ending the presence of the Kurdish Forces in the northern countryside of Aleppo after their withdrawal from Afrin.
