In conjunction with violent clashes that killed tens of fighters, the last enclave of ISIS organization east of Euphrates witnesses the shelling for the first time by the Iranian Forces on the area

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent explosions shook on dawn of Monday, the 1st of October 2018, the enclave controlled by the “Islamic State” organization on the east banks of Euphrates river in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in front of the al-Bokamal area near the Syrian – Iraqi border, and the reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that these explosions were caused from shelling carried out by the Iranian forces using ground-to-ground missiles that targeted headquarters sites of the “Islamic State” organization in Hajin area, which is mostly under the control of the Organization east of Deir Ezzor, and no information yet about the human casualties. This targeting is considered the first time in which the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas east of Euphrates in its last enclave are targeted by ground-to-ground missiles.

This targeting coincides with violent clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces, supported by the International Coalition against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the last enclave of ISIS on the east banks of Euphrates River, which has been witnessing a violent counterattack since yesterday by ISIS members in al-Baghuz area in front of al-Bokamal city, amid exchange of targeting in the clash areas and detonating booby-trapped vehicles, which caused significant casualties in the ranks of both parties, where the Syrian Observatory published last night that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that it to 33, the number of ISIS members who were killed in more than 24 hours, while it rose to 11 at least, the number of casualties in the ranks of the SDF who were killed in these clashes, also the airstrikes targeted several areas in Hajin and its vicinity and other areas in ISIS last enclave in the east of the Euphrates River.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 203, the number of members of the organization who were killed in the ongoing clashes and the Coalition’s strikes, and it rose to at least 109, the number of members who have been killed of the Syria Democratic Forces since the start of military operations on the 10th of September 2018, one of whom has served as a field commander in Deir Ezzor Military Council of the Syria Democratic Forces, while the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of information about other casualties as well as the presence of injured cases in serious conditions.
