The western countryside of Daraa witnesses alertness and tension in the wake of killing a member by unidentified gunmen in the area

Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a state of tension prevailing the western countryside of Daraa, as a result of gunfire in Al-Allan, and reliable sources confirmed that the area witnessed heavy gunfire after the assassination of a member in the ranks of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, by unidentified gunmen, a day after the SOHR published that the province of Daraa is witnessing an increase in the security chaos across the city and its countryside, since the regime forces and their allies were able to regain full control of the province in late June 2018, the security chaos is represented by kidnapping, arrests, robberies, imposing royalties, extortion, etc., where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored in the recent days a rise in terms of abductions carried out by unidentified people as well as gunmen loyal to the regime forces, in exchange of ransom or for reasons of revenge, disagreements, and personal vendetta, all over Daraa countryside from its east to its west, there is no safe for those left in Daraa Province and refused to displace to the Syrian north, where the Syrian Observatory monitored during the last 48 hours the abduction of a young man at the International Highway east of Daraa, the locals accused gunmen of the 4th Division within the regime forces of kidnapping him, and they took the young man to a destination that still unknown.

While the regime forces are supposed to impose security in Daraa Province, having returned it to the “Motherland”, the security chaos is escalating in the province, where the regime forces is busy with the raids and arrests for “compulsory and reserve service” in its army, despite the false allegations of the Syrian regime to stop the “reserve” and the “pardon” issued by the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but these campaigns continue largely, through lists of names of people wanted for the reserve service of who were born in 1986 and above, where the Syrian Observatory monitored many arrests in this regard since the alleged “amnesty”, where on Thursday morning; the 22nd of November 2018, lists with names of people wanted to the reserve service in Sahm Golan town at the western countryside of Daraa have arrived, and the regime forces began calling the wanted and arresting those who reject it. Reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that the people wanted for to serve the compulsory and reserve service in Daraa Province fear of the enrolment, against the backdrop of their detention by the Syrian regime’s security branches and torturing them with severe beatings and various methods of torture before sending them to service in regime’s army.

And as the regime forces and their security services are busy arresting and recruiting those wanted for service within regime’s army; areas in Daraa countryside a has been witnessing since days cases of writing on the walls of schools, neighborhoods, and streets, the writings are phrases against the Syrian regime and in support of the Syrian revolution, some are in favor of the “Islamic State” Organization, where in al-Msifra town at the eastern countryside of Daraa; unknown people wrote on walls in the town the phrases: “the State remains and extends and the State is returning,” and by State they mean ISIS, but the regime forces painted the phrases, and in the towns of al-Muzayrib and al-Kerk al-Sharqi; unknown people wrote “Long Live the Free Revolution” and “overthrow the Baathist party” and “down with Bashar” on walls of schools within both towns, in a phenomenon that has become repeated since days.
