Abu al-Duhur Crossing continues its work with a shy movement of people returning because of the different conditions they live
Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the exit movement out of areas controlled by the rebel and Islamic factions, and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham continues towards regime forces’-controlled areas through Abu al-Duhur crossing in the eastern countryside of Idlib, this movement continues for the fourth consecutive day, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a small movement as usual for people getting out the factions’ controlled areas towards regime forces’-controlled areas, where the regime opened the crossing from their side, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 28th of November 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a shy movement of citizens in Abu al-Duhur crossing, which the regime forces reopened on the 26th of November 2018 of one side, where SOHR monitored the movement of a few numbers of citizens, the majority of them are students who study at universities within regime forces’-controlled areas or employees who want to receive their salaries, and the rest of them are landowners and agricultural property displaced from their areas after the military operations accompanied by regime forces’ control of the area, and as a result of their poor conditions and their inability to remain in the Syrian north, they returned to their homes and areas, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 26th of November 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces re-opened Abu al-Duhur crossing from their side from one side, where it was previously opened for movement between areas control of the rebel and Islamic factions and the “jihadis” and between regime forces’-controlled areas, the crossing is located in the eastern sector of Idlib countryside near Abu Al-Duhur airbase, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 1st of November 2018 that preparations continue to pave the way for reopening the strategic crossing of Morek on Aleppo – Hama road within Morek area in the northern countryside of Hama, where preparations are now underway for opening of the crossing, which is expected to open in the next few hours after completing all preparations in the factions’-controlled areas through the Turkish forces, and in regime forces’-controlled areas through the Russian police, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday, Wednesday, that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received information about the opening of the strategic crossing of Morek on Hama – Aleppo road in Morek town in the northern countryside of Hama, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored preparations by the Turkish Forces and the rebel and Islamic factions and between the Russian police in regime forces’-controlled areas, where the Russian police are removing the barricades that are blocking the road leading to the crossing, amid gathering of the commercial trucks on both sides of the area waiting the orders to open it, and these preparations come as the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them continue to receive people coming to Abu al-Duhur crossing, which opened on the 22nd of October 2018, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the reopening of Abu al-Duhur crossing in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the crossing was opened by the regime forces from one side, as the crossing movement from the side of the regime forces is only available for those wishing to come from Hama province towards Idlib province currently, but no information about the cross of any person yet, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 30th of September 2018 that Abu al-Duhur crossing in the eastern countryside of Idlib, which the regime forces have reopened on Tuesday, the 25th of September 2018, is witnessing the continuation of light traffic movement, where intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the entry to regime forces’-controlled areas was limited to tens of people, some of whom have transactions in regime’s departments and others with property in the land that was controlled by the regime forces opposite of the factions’ controlled areas, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces continue opening Abu al-Duhur crossing in the eastern countryside of Idlib, since last Tuesday, the 25th of September 2018, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a small movement of crossing towards regime forces’-controlled areas, and the Syrian Observatory learned that people towards regime forces’-controlled areas are mostly of people who are living in areas controlled by the regime forces and came to factions’ controlled areas during the harvest seasons and could not return after the roads were closed, and reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that tens of families and residents from villages in the eastern countryside of Idlib the are under the control of the regime forces; want to return to their villages, but the royalties imposed by checkpoints of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them are preventing them from crossing.
The Syrian Observatory published on the 24th of September that the Syrian Observatory monitored the fall of several rocket shells dawn on Monday, the 24th of September 2018, on places in al-Baraghithi area north of Abu al-Duhur in the eastern countryside of Idlib, where the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them control the area there, but no information until the moment about the source of the rocket shells and the casualties they caused. The fall of shells on this area comes in conjunction with anticipation for the citizens to start entering through Abu al-Duhur crossing, of which the information about its back to service was conflicted, where it was expected to be opened today, Monday, where the Syrian Observatory published last night that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information reporting that it is expected in the incoming ours of Monday the 24th of September 2018, that the regime forces will return to open Abu Al-Duhur Military Crossing about 26 days after it was closed which caused citizens suffering, and prevented them from returning to their villages which are controlled by the regime forces, and which were subjected to processes of looting, thefts and imposing royalties by the regime forces as well as arresting a number of citizens during their return to their villages over which the regime forces imposed their control months ago.
