Tribal gunmen and protesters east of Deir Ezzor seize oil wells to protest the poor service situation and the transfer of oil to the outside of the province

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from intersected sources who confirmed that groups of members of the Syria Democratic Forces from Khasham town and residents of the town and from Jdaydet Ekydat area; seized oil wells belong to Koniko Field after clashes against these guards of these wells, the robbery came because of protest against the “theft of oil” and the poor services situation of Jdaydet Ekydat village and in the camps of the displaced people of Khasham in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, near al-Aziyeh station, which was also taken by the gunmen, the residents and those who took over the wells demanded improving the situations, and the Syrian Observatory learned that they withdrew from the wells after negotiations between them and between the Syria Democratic Forces in al-Omar oilfield, and the clashes wounded 2 members of the Syria Democratic Forces, while local sources confirmed that these protests by residents of Deir Ezzor countryside and displaced people came because of the transfer of oil to al-Shaddadi and al-Hasakah countryside.
