Unidentified gunmen attack a headquarters of the regime’s Air Force Intelligence in a town in the middle countryside of Daraa in the shadow of the anti-regime movements

Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a new targeting against the regime forces in Daraa province, over which the regime forces imposed their control months ago after a military operation and a series of “reconciliations and settlements”, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; unidentified gunmen have attacked the detachment of the regime’s Air Force Intelligence in Da’el in the middle countryside of Daraa area which caused material damage, without information about human losses, while the Syrian Observatory monitored several explosion in the eastern countryside of Daraa city on the 31st of January 2019, it turned out that they were caused by an attack by unidentified gunmen on positions of the regime forces and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, unidentified gunmen attacked today evening, Thursday, by shells and medium machineguns, one of the regime’s largest checkpoints in the eastern countryside of Daraa, Nahteh checkpoint, which led to the withdrawal of the checkpoint’s members to rear positions, while there is no information so far about the amount of the human losses, also sources informed the Syrian Observatory that the same checkpoint witnessed yesterday, Wednesday, an insult and altercations against a woman by the members of the checkpoint, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, Wednesday, that tensions still prevails in Daraa city in the Syrian south, which is under the control of the regime forces and militias loyal to them, where the tension comes against the backdrop of the shootings that took place during the past hours in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city, by a group of former fighters of the factions who carried out “reconciliation and settlements”, they are defected members of the regime forces who refused to rejoin the “mandatory or reserve services” within regime’s army, where their shooting came in protest against the practices of the regime forces despite settlements and reconciliation, refusing to return to the barracks and military positions within regime’s army. And in another context, the Syrian Observatory monitored the regime forces arresting 3 people in Alma village in the eastern countryside of Daraa on Tuesday evening, where they were taken to an unknown destination and no information about the reason for the arrest yet, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 26th of January 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights have received information reporting that the regime forces collected today, Saturday the 26th of January 2019, tens of those who defected from them in Da’el town in the middle sector of Daraa countryside, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory; about 200 recruits and officers of the people of the eastern countryside of Daraa who had defected previously from the regime forces and then carried out “reconciliations and settlements”, have been collected in Da’el town by the regime forces, in order to be send to the military police in Qaboun area in the capital Damascus, then to their military units all over Syria, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 14th of January 2019, that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by reliable sources that the leadership of the 4th Division issued a resolution calling for the forces of the National Guard’s “Harmoon Regiment” west of Rif Dimashq, to cancel the membership applications of members of the regiment who passed their conscription service date and those who defected of the regime, where a list of 500 names of those wanted for mandatory and reserve service had arrived in the previous period, and the regime forces confirmed while circulating it that the above mentioned should directly join regime’s ranks, and the decision called them to go to the emergency center in Hina town in the west of Rif Dimashq, hand over their individual weapons and receive notification of their entry into the ranks of the regime forces within a period not exceeding 6 months, the resolution also called on all members of Harmoon Regiment to check with the mentioned center to settle their situation under new terms and conditions, these new decisions come within the framework of regime forces’ policy in the area, according to which the regime has been seeking for several months -in one way or another- to resolve the Harmoon Regiment, which was formed in the area during the displacement agreements and the settlement with Russian guarantees in early 2017, which includes people of the towns and villages of Jabal al-Sheikh.

And the Syrian Observatory published on the 18th of December 2018, that the 5th Corps continues to recruit tens of young people who have carried out “reconciliations and settlements” in Daraa Province, for a monthly salary of up to US $ 200 plus 10000 Syrian pounds, where they are attracting young people as work is scarce, and they are promised by them that the time they serve here will be counted of their mandatory or reserve period in regime’s regime, it is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory published on the 21st of November 2018 that Ago on the 21st of November 2018 that Syrian regime continues through its forces and security branches, the Russians through its 5th Corps, the Iran and its forces through their military and security institutions, all of them continue to race in the Syrian south, to include the sons of Daraa Province of former fighters of the factions and civilians to their ranks, by forcing them sometimes and tempting them other times by material and moral inducements, as well as other arguments and pretexts, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the entry of the al-Bustan Association of Rami Makhloufi -the cousin of the Syrian regime President Bashar al-Assad- on the line of the race recently, where it tries through its representatives, to recruit youths and men with attractive financial salaries of up to US $350 per month, this association is spread in Daraa city and the towns of Qarfa, Izra’a, and Sheikh Meskin, as well as the villages of al-Lajat area east of Daraa, also “al-Bustan Charitable Association” was able through its name and its essence of Tashbih (from Shabiha; the abuse of power) to attract about 1000 persons during this short period, of those who joined it and were recruited, as the same association had done earlier with the sons of the Syrian coast by recruiting them, and putting them on the fronts against the “Islamic State” Organization in Homs Desert.
