Despite full Russian support and thousands of ground and air strikes, the regime forces -led by the Tiger- continue to fail in recovering 2 villages they lost to the jihadi groups and the factions about 20 days ago in battles of the 3 towns that killed and injured more than 1150 of both parties

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces brought massive military reinforcements of heavy machinery, forces, military, and logistic equipment to their positions in the northwestern countryside of Hama, which warns of new potential attacks by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them led by “Suhail al-Hasan” with the support of the Russian forces, in order to regain the areas they lost in favor of the rebel and Islamic factions and the jihadi groups in the area after the regime forces and loyal militias failed to do so in tens of attempts to regain control of the villages of Tal Meleh and al-Jabin, which were controlled by the jihadi groups and the factions on the 6th of June 2019, and this failure comes despite of the intensive support by Russian forces and their warplanes in addition to regime’s warplanes and artilleries, which targeted the area during this period by thousands of air and ground strikes, without any significant benefit.

The regime forces led by the Tiger did had enough by being broken in that area and the fail of all their attempts to regain control of them; but they suffered heavy casualties in the attrition battles northwest of Hama, in order to restore Tal Meleh and al-Jabin both strategic villages that the factions through which managed to cut the highway of al-Suqaylabiyah – Muhradah, both towns which are mostly inhabited by Christian citizens, where Russia claims to protect them on the Syrian territory, also opening up these fronts by the factions as well as the sudden infiltration raids in mountains of the coast; have restrained the regime forces from pursuing their military operations they launched at Hama countryside, and went deep in south Idlib, but the attrition of their forces through the factions’ operations forced them to stop.

The Observatory documented heavy casualties in Battle of the 3 villages (al-Jabin, Tal Meleh, Kafrhoud), in addition to al-Jalma village in the northwestern countryside of Hama, since the afternoon of Thursday, the 6th of June 2019, where 475 were killed since the start of the attack carried out by the jihad groups and factions after in the northwestern countryside of Hama, they are 235 of the regime forces and their loyal militias, and 240 fighters including 112 of the rebel and Islamic factions, including Abdelbaset al-Sarout, the commander in Jaysh al-Izza, also the battles injured more than 680 of both parties, and some of the injured people suffered permanent disability.
