The Syrian regime receives a new economic hit through targeting a gas line in the eastern desert of Homs, the identity of the perpetrator is yet to be known

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the gas line between Shaer field and the Ebla Gas Plant in the eastern city of Homs went out of service, after being targeted by unknown entities until now, this comes in a new economic strike against the Syrian regime, where this line transports more than 2 million cubic meters of gas daily to Ebla plant and from it to the power plants, but it is not known yet whether the targeting was carried out by the “Islamic State” organization which is active in the Syrian desert, or by parties form within the Syrian regime which are benefiting from getting this line out of service, but the victim will be as usual, the Syrian citizen.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 1st of July 2019 that Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the “Islamic State” Organization ambushed the regime forces and their loyal militias in the eastern countryside of Homs, after which clashes took place between both parties, accompanied by shelling by the Organization for the column using rocket shells, which killed 6 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and injured more than 7 others, raising the death toll since late March 2019, where the Syrian Observatory documented during the period between the 24th of March 2019 until the 30th of June 2019 the death of at least 172 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, including at least 2 Russians, in addition to 12 of the Iranian militias of non-Syrian nationalities, were all killed during attacks, bombings and ambushes by the “Islamic State” organization west of Euphrates in the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Homs, and Al-Suwaidaa, also the Syrian Observatory documented the killing of 53 members of the “Islamic State” Organization, of who were killed during the same period during attacks, shelling, and targeting.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 23rd of June 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored clashes in the past hours in Al-Mayadin Desert in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in an attack by members of the “Islamic State” organization on positions of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, accompanied by exchange of shelling, and the SOHR documented the fall of human losses in the new attack by ISIS members within the frame of their continued activity in the Syrian Desert, where 4 gunmen loyal to the regime forces including a non-Syrian member, were killed in addition to the injury of 10 others with varying severity.

And the SOHR published on the 19th of June 2019, that the death toll continues to rise due to the targeting and clashes in eastern desert of Homs in the past 24 hours, where it rose to 17, the number of casualties of the regime forces and their loyal militias who were killed during attacks carried out by members of the “Islamic State” Organization at various points and locations in the al-Mdir, al-Kom, and other places in the vicinity of al-Sokhna area within the eastern desert of Homs, also it rose to 6, the number of ISIS members killed during the same clashes, where  this comes within the continuous activity of members of the “Islamic State” Organization targeting the regime forces and their loyal militias.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published 13th of June 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of 6 members of the regime forces and their loyal militias in clashes against the “Islamic State” Organization in the eastern countryside of Homs, after a new ambush by members of the Organization in the area during the past hours.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 11th of June 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a new attack carried out by the “Islamic State” Organization, targeting positions of the regime forces and their loyal militias in the Syrian desert, where clashes took place between both parties in al-Qorya desert, accompanied by exchange of shelling and targeting, also the eastern and southeastern desert of Homs witnessed clashes during the past 48 hours attacks by members of the Organization, and the Syrian Observatory documented casualties against the clashes in the deserts of Deir Ezzor and Homs, where 11 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed, and 7 members of the Organization were also killed.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 8th of June 2019 that the Syrian Desert continues to swallow members of the regime forces and their loyal gunmen who were going to support other members against the “Islamic State” organization, which continues to operate intensively in the area, where the Syrian Observatory learned that 8 members of the NDF militia loyal to the regime forces who are from al-Boleel town and al-Toub village the contact with them was lost several days ago; while they were heading to al-Fayda area south of Deir Ezzor city to take part in repelling the organization’s attack on regime’s positions in the area, where they believed to have been ambushed by the “Islamic State” Organization, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 3rd of June 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that a group of members of the regime forces were killed by the “Islamic State” organization in the Syrian Desert, and in details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: a colonel of the regime forces was killed with 11 members while they were heading to support another group in al-Resafa Desert, where the Organization was able to ambush and kill them.
