The regime forces mobilize in the vicinity of al-Tamanah as hundreds of air and ground strikes target the eastern countryside of Maarrat al-Nu’man

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored mobilization by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in al-Tamanah area within the southern countryside of Idlib, amid anticipation of a ground military operation against villages of the eastern countryside of Maarrat al-Nu’man after they took control of the entire northern countryside of Hama and important areas south of Idlib, and in the same context, the Russian warplanes and regime’s warplanes were absent from “Putin – Erdogan” area since after midnight of yesterday until dawn of today, then they returned to carry out airstrikes against the area, where regime’s warplanes carried out about 21 airstrikes targeting al-Tamanah and its vicinity, al-Tah, and Jarjanaz, in the southeastern countryside of Idlib while warplanes of the Russian “guarantor” carried out about 10 raids targeting al-Tamanah town, Kafr Sajna, al-Tah, and al-Halba in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, and the helicopters dropped at least 22 barrel bombs on al-Tamanah, Hish, Kafr Sajna, Sheikh Damis, Sheikh Mustafa, al-Tah, and Deir Sharqi, while the regime forces regime launched about 480 shells and missiles since midnight until this morning targeting al-Hmira village in the southern countryside of Aleppo, and areas in the eastern countryside of Maarrat al-Nu’man concentrated in al-Deir al-Sharqi and Jarjanaz, the vicinity of Sajna and al-Rakaya from the checkpoints to which the regime forces recently advanced to in al-Nemr hill and al-Hbit, and in the same context, a rocket shell launched by the factions and fell on Jam’eyyat al-Zahra’a neighborhood and its surroundings in Aleppo city, which is controlled by the regime forces.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 3763, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 23rd of August 2019, and they are: 983 civilians including 244 children and 174 citizen women, and they are 216 including 43 children and 42 women, and 8 of the civil defense and 5 of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 79 including 16 women and 13 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 499 including 141 children, 83 women, and 5 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 110 people including 20 women and 21 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 79 citizens including 26 children and 13 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 1499 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 986 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 1281 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 23rd of August 2019, and Syrian Observatory documented the death of 4291 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1268 civilians including 326 children under the age of eighteen and 238 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 105 people including 31 children under the age of eighteen and 17 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1585  fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1031 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1438 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 4521 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1351 civilians including 355 children and 252 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 106 people including 31 children and 16 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1652 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1133 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 1518 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
