Political parties and independent figures in Al-Qamishli city protest against the poor economic conditions in front of the headquarters of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the city

Al-Hasakah Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a vigil organized by the political parties operating under the banner of the Kurdish National Council and other parties out of the political forms as well as independent figures in Al-Qamishli city in front of the headquarters of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in the city, objecting the poor economic conditions caused by the rise in exchange rate of the US dollar in addition to the Autonomous Administration’s resolution of raising the price of Mazut.

And the Syrian Observatory published on the 8th of September 2019, that areas of the Autonomous Administration in northeastern Syria are witnessing widespread dissatisfaction among citizens, due to the rise in exchange value of the of U.S. dollar against the exchange rate of the Syrian pound, which reflects negatively on the living situation in the area causing a crazy rise in prices of the main consumables, such as bread and fuel, in the light of the smuggling materials operations to the nearby areas.
