SDF carry out a counter attack on the Turkish forces and the factions west of Ras Al-Ayn city and regain control of posts and positions in the area

The Syrian observatory for Human Rights monitored a counter attack carried out by the Syria Democratic Forces on the Turkish forces and their loyal factions in the outskirts and western countryside of Ras Al-Ayn city (Sere Kaniye), where violent clashes are concentrated in the area of Tal Halaf Al-Mangir, amid exchange of heavy and violent shelling, and the SOHR learned that the SDF managed to achieve an advancement in the area and recovered positions and posts they lost in the past hours for the factions and Turkish forces, also the clashes left more casualties and injuries in the ranks of the both parties, and the SOHR published hours ago that it monitored the continuation of violent clashes in Ras al-Ayn city and al-Manajir area around it and other areas in its vicinity and outskirts, between the Syria Democratic Forces against the factions and Turkish forces, accompanied by constant air and ground bombardments and continuous shelling in attempts by the latter to advance and control more positions in the area, amid their control of 3 new positions, also, the clashes and shelling left more casualties in the ranks of both parties.

Thus, it rose to at least 52, the number of areas over which the Turkish forces with the Syrian factions loyal to them imposed their control in the east of the Euphrates, since the start of “Peace Spring” Operation on the 9th of October 2019, they are Tal Abyad, Sluk, Mazra’aat al-Hammadi, Abu Qabr, Mazra’aat al-Masihi, Hamida, al-Mahida, al-Dadat, al-Yabseh, al-Meshrfeh, Tal Fender, Bir Ashiq, al-Terwaziyyeh, Lazkeh, Hwyran, al-Wastah, al-Ghajir, Shokan, al-Khalidiyah, al-Aridah, al-Nabhan, Om al-Jern, Ghzil, al-Hawi, Tababin, Jamous, Felyou, al-Zaydi, Al-al-Droubiyyah, Ayn al-Arous, Tal Antar, al-Badea’, and Jasem al-Ali in Tal Abyad area, and Mabrouka and Tal Halaf towns and the villages of Al-Kantari, Wadhah, Twijel, Alok, Kashto, Aksas, Tal Khanzir, al-Aziziyah, Al-Balujah, Abu Al-Soun, Hwish al-Naser, al-Na’eim, al-Salhiyyeh, al-Libiyyah, and Tal al-Banat, Kajo, al-Mada’en, and Nah, in Ras al-Ayn area.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to 133 at least, the number of members of the Syria Democratic Forces who were killed by Turkish air and land strikes and clashes against Turkish Forces and the factions loyal to, also it rose to 108, the number of the Syrian factions loyal to Ankara including 21 of the pro-Turkish cells who were killed in targeting and clashes against SDF, while 8 Turkish soldiers were killed in clashes and targeting, Turkey acknowledged the death of only 5 of them, amid information about other Turkish casualties at the Syrian – Turkish border, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, in addition to information about other casualties.
