Cautious calm in the “al-Sanamin” after violent clashes in conjunction with a night curfew in the city

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: al-Sanamin city north of Daraa witnessed a curfew on Tuesday night, after the clashes that broke out after midnight of yesterday between the regime forces and militias loyal to them against gunmen from a group of the Free Army factions previously, and the city is now witnessing a cautious calm while schools are still closed until further notice.

The Syrian Observatory had monitored clashes in al-Sanamin city after midnight of yesterday, between an armed group of former faction members against members of the military security in the city, accompanied by exchange of targeting and information about casualties and injuries in the ranks of both parties, also the city witnessed yesterday evening a new assassination of a member of the regime forces, where he was shot by unknown people.

And in the context of the security chaos, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented 146 attacks and assassination attempts in Daraa province since June 2019, killed more than 100 people, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 22nd of October 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that regime’s intelligence services arrested 2 members of the “4th Division” who were faction leaders in the border town of Naseeb with Jordan, and carried out a “settlement” after regime forces’ control of it, without knowing the reasons for the arrest until the moment.
