Nearly 50 civilians, regime soldiers and jihadis killed today in more than 90 air strikes and fierce battles

Regime warplanes carried out 34 raids today targeting the clash areas, Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside and Saraqib. While the Russian warplanes targeted the abovementioned areas with 26 raids. Also helicopters dropped 30 barrel bombs on the area.

On the other hand, fierce clashes have been still continuing in areas in the eastern countryside of Maarrat Al-Nu’man, between factions and jihadi groups against the regime forces and their loyalists as a part of the regime’s continued attempts to take control of more positions in the light of rapid advancements it achieves with aerial and ground support.

SOHR has documented more human losses in the ranks of both parties, in which 16 regime soldiers and 23 fighters of the factions and jihadis have been killed since after midnight, raising the number of casualties in the ranks of both parties since the battles started on Thursday to 187 they are: 77 of the regime forces and their loyal militiamen, and 110 fighters including 21 of the factions and the rest of them are of the jihadis.

With the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 1099, the number of people who were killed since the last agreement of “Putin – Erdogan” on the 31st of August 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 22nd of December 2019, and they are: 293 civilians including 76 children and 60 citizen women, and they are 124 including 37 children and 22 women were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 19 including 3 women and 6 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 59 including 7 children 13 women were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 77 people including 20 women and 21 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 14 citizens including 5 children and 2 women were killed in shelling by the factions on regime forces’-controlled areas in Aleppo and its countryside and the countryside of Hama, while at least 401 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 281 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 405 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

It rose to at least 5200, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 22nd of December 2019, and they are: 1338 civilians including 336 children and 246 citizen women, and they are 350 including 81 children and 65 women, and 9 of the civil defense and 6 of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 107 including 22 women and 21 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 596 including 162 children, 100 women, and 5 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 191 people including 40 women and 41 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 94 citizens including 31 children and 16 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 2066 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 1368 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 1796 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

During the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 22nd of December 2019, and Syrian Observatory documented the death of 5726 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1621 civilians including 417 children under the age of eighteen and 310 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 120 people including 34 children under the age of eighteen and 20 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2152 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1400 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1953 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 5960 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1704 civilians including 446 children and 324 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 121 people including 34 children and 21 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2219 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1504 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 2037 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
