“Putin – Erdogan” zone: 430 air and ground strikes kill and injure nearly 60 civilians

Regime warplanes and helicopters continue their intensive bombardment on the “de-escalation” zone since morning.

Helicopters dropped 39 barrel bombs on Maasaran, Maarshamsheh, Al-Ghadfah, Kafruma, Maarshorin, Maarshmarin, Deir Sahrqi and Deir Gharbi.

Meanwhile, the regime warplanes’ strikes rose to 43, through which they targeted Saraqib and surrounding areas, Maarrat Al-Nu’man city and its vicinity, Aleppo – Damascus International Highway, Deir Sahrqi, Deir Gharbi, Maasaran, Ihsim, Hanutin, Ariha, Maarshmarin in Idlib countryside, and Al-Zerbeh town in the southern countryside of Aleppo.

The Russian warplanes executed 11 raids this morning on Maasaran and Al-Ghadfah in Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside.

The regime ground forces also fired 340 rocket and artillery shells on the southern, eastern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, the southern countryside of Aleppo, and Jabal Al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia.

SOHR has documented many civilian casualties due to these air and ground strikes. It documented the killing of nine civilians in bombardment by warplanes on Ariha. Another female was killed in targeting by warplanes to Saraqib. Two other children were killed in shelling by the regime forces on Barnah village in the southern countryside of Aleppo.

Today’s bombardment left more than 47 civilians injured some of whom are in serious conditions.

With the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 1386, the number of people who were killed since the last agreement of “Putin – Erdogan” on the 31st of August 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, and they are: 336 civilians including 90 children and 65 citizen women, and they are 141 including 43 children and 24 women were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 21 including three women and seven children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 71 including seven children 14 women were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 89 people including 22 women and 28 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 14 citizens including five children and two women were killed in shelling by the factions on regime forces’-controlled areas in Aleppo and its countryside and the countryside of Hama, while at least 501 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 361 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 549 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

It rose to at least 5487, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, and they are: 1381 civilians including 350 children and 251 citizen women, and they are 367 including 87 children and 67 women, and nine of the civil defense and six of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 109 including 22 women and 22 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 609 including 162 children, 104 women, and five members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 203 people including 42 women and 48 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 94 citizens including 31 children and 16 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 2166 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 1448 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 1940 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

During the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today; the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 6013 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1664 civilians including 431 children under the age of eighteen and 315 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 120 people including 34 children under the age of eighteen and 20 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2252 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1480 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 2097 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 6247 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1747 civilians including 460 children and 329 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 121 people including 34 children and 21 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2319 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1584 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 2181 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
