Opposition factions target regime positions in Idlib and Aleppo inflicting gross human and material losses

Syrian Observatory activists documented the death of a female affected by the wounds she had in shelling by the factions on Aleppo neighborhoods before days.

Separately, reliable sources informed the Observatory that the factions targeted positions of the regime forces in the area of the 3000-Apartment Project this evening, with Grad rockets and artillery. The shelling killed three regime soldiers and caused a tank to be damaged.

Rebel factions also targeted regime positions in warehouses in Khan Tuman and Al-Wadihi village in the southern countryside, and other positions in Magharat Merza on Abu Juraif frontline. No casualties were reported about.

Hours ago, SOHR sources reported hearing explosions in Aleppo city, due to the fall of shells launched by Jihadi factions on the 3000-apartment project and al-Assad Suburb in al-Hamdaniya. Also the rebel factions targeted al-Dobbat buildings in Halab al-Jadidah area using a guided missile, and they destroyed surveillance equipment.

In connection to this, the jihadi factions targeted a regime military vehicle in Halaban village in the eastern countryside of Idlib, no information was reported about casualties so far.

On the other hand, Syrian Observatory activists monitored cessation of airstrikes on the “de-escalation” zone for hours due to the bad weather, after 48 raids executed by the regime gets 48 since morning, as well as 40 barrel bombs dropped by regime helicopters, and 51 airstrikes carried out by Russian jets. The aerial bombardment was concentrated on both Idlib and Aleppo countryside.

SOHR activists documented nine civilian casualties including five children: a man, his wife, and their three children who have been displaced from al-Hamra village in the eastern countryside of Hama, they were killed in bombardment by the Russian jets on their house in a farmland in the eastern countryside of Saraqib, a boy, a girl and a female of the same family were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on Arnaba village Jabal al-Zawiyah, and a citizen who died affected by injury he had in ground shelling a few days ago.

With the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 1,811, the number of people who were killed since the last agreement of “Putin – Erdogan” on the 31st of August 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, and they are: 457 civilians including 135 children and 85 citizen women, and they are 193 including 72 children and 33 women were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 21 including three women and seven children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 117 including 21 children 19 women were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 94 people including 23 women and 28 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 32 citizens including seven children and seven women were killed in shelling by the factions on regime forces’-controlled areas in Aleppo and its countryside and the countryside of Hama, while at least 648 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 487 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 706 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

It rose to at least 5,912, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, and they are: 1,502 civilians including 395 children and 271 citizen women, and they are 419 including 116 children and 76 women, and nine of the civil defense and six of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 109 including 22 women and 22 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 655 including 176 children, 109 women, and six members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 208 people including 43 women and 48 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 111 citizens including 33 children and 21 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 2,313 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 1,575 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 2,097 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

During the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today; the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 6,438 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1,785 civilians including 476 children under the age of eighteen and 335 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 138 people including 36 children under the age of eighteen and 25 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2,399 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1,607 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 2,254 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 6,672 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1,868 civilians including 503 children and 349 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 139 people including 36 children and 26 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2,466 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1,711 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 2,338 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
