Regime forces advance further into south Aleppo countryside capturing nine new areas in 24 hours
Regime forces advanced into Maryoudah and Rasm Al-Ward villages clamping down on the Turkish observation post in Al-Eis town in the southern countryside of Aleppo even more. Regime forces captured areas in Tal Tabariz, Ajez, Mahareem, Khawwari, Abad, Al-Makhala and Ebla University in the southern countryside of Aleppo.
The regime forces imposed their control over all the areas overlooking Aleppo – Damascus international highway within Idlib province, only 13 villages within an area of 30 km in Aleppo separate them from controlling the entire highway. The strategic 356-kilo-meter highway is the longest highway in Syria and connects between Damascus and Aleppo.
Yesterday, captured Al-Qal’ajiyah, Khalseh, Zitan, Berneh, Huwayr Al-Eis in the southern countryside of Aleppo, and continued their advancement into the rest areas overlooking the highway.
SOHR sources reported earlier that fierce battles and exchange of intense shelling were continuing in the southern countryside of Aleppo, between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime soldiers and loyalists on the other.
