Tens of airstrikes hit north-west Aleppo suburbs amid ongoing fierce clashes in south of Idlib and Sahl Al-Ghab

Fierce clashes are underway between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and rebel and jihadi factions on the other, as regime forces attempt to advance into Sheikh Damis area in the southern countryside of Idlib.

On the other hand, opposition factions shelled regime positions in Al-Nayrab town in Idlib countryside with rocket launchers. Meanwhile, other regime positions in Al-Mashari’ area in Sahl Al-Ghab were targeted by the factions, along with clashes between both warring forces with using heavy machineguns in several frontlines there.

Separately, Russian jets targeted Kafr Hamra, Anadan, Hayyan and Hariytan in the north-western countryside of Aleppo with high-explosive missiles, bringing the number of today’s airstrikes on Aleppo and Idlib to 122.

Regime forces are still advancing into the area of Sheikh Oqail in Aleppo countryside as only eight km separate them from meeting with the advancing forces in Owayjil village. Regime forces and loyalists seek to wrap around and encircle large swathes, including Kafr Hamra, Hayyan, Anadan and Haritan, north of Aleppo, so that they can capture them later.

Regime forces and loyalists captured earlier the areas of Owayjil, Sadiyeh, “Jam’eyyat Al-Amin”, Aajil village, the northern Al-Rashideen, Al-Mansurah, Jam’eyyat Al-Kahrabaa, and Police School in the western countryside of Aleppo.

Accordingly, regime forces captured 85 areas in the southern and western countryside of Aleppo in the past few hours and days.
