Regime forces renew counter-attacks in Idlib and Hama, and dozens of fatalities among rebels and regime forces

SOHR sources say that regime forces have renewed their counter-attacks on frontlines in Sahl Al-Ghab northwest of Idlib and southern countryside of Idlib.

Reliable source have informed SOHR that regime forces regained control of the town of Hazarin, south of Idlib, backed by Russian airpower, after violent clashes with rebels and jihadist groups.

The Syrian Observatory has documented casualties as a result of air and ground bombardment and clashes in rural Idlib and Hama during the day.

21 opposition fighters, including 13 jihadists have been killed, and 11 members of regime forces and loyalists have also been killed. While the number of raids carried out by regime and Russian jets on idlib and Hama countryside during the day has risen to 110.

Fatalities among Turkish soldiers have been reported as a result of regime and loyalists’ shelling on Turkish positions in the area of Sarmin, east of Idlib. Ambulances have been seen setting off from Sarmine to Bab al-Hawa crossing border.

SOHR sources said earlier that Turkish drones continued their intensive strikes, hitting positions and military bases of regime forces and loyalists in both eastern and southern countryside of Idlib, along with ongoing Turkish rocket attacks on the same positions.

On the other hand, ongoing clashes took place on western frontlines of saraqeb city in eastern Idlib countryside, between rebels and jihadist groups on the one hand, and regime forces and loyalists on the other. Further Fatalities have been reported on both warring sides.

Moreover, a delegation of UN visited refugee camps in the northern countryside of Idlib, on the border with Iskenderun region, checking the tragic situation of the IDPs who fled regime and Russian brutality.
