Two persons killed in two separate incidents in rural Al-Suwaidaa

Al-Suwaidaa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a young man was killed this morning in suspicious circumstances while he was working on his land in Al-Tha’lah village. No more details have been reported yet. It is noteworthy that the victim is an employee in water foundation in Al-Suwaidaa.

In a separate incident, a man was found dead near Al-Suwaidaa cemeteries on the road to Kanaker. According to SOHR sources, the police arrested the man’s son who acknowledged of killing his father.

On March 6, reliable source informed SOHR that an armed clash erupted among several people in Al-Buthayna village in northeastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa in south Syria.

According to Observatory sources, a dispute flared up among a group of persons for unknown reasons, and evolved into armed fighting with using weapons and hand grenades.

Three people were injured and taken to the National Hospital of Al-Suwaidaa. Uneasy calm prevailed in the village of Al-Buthayna after the incident, while the area’s dignitaries tried to calm the situation down and prevent the dispute from getting aggravated.
