Turkish-backed factions continue their violations, looting houses and agricultural equipment in “Peace Spring” areas

Turkish-backed factions are committing violations similar to those committed by regime’s army, which include looting houses and installations in “Peace Spring” areas

SOHR sources say that the homes of civilians have been looted in the villages of Bab al-Khair and Jan Tamer in Ras al-Ain countryside. The faction’s members also stole agricultural equipment, water tanks and other sophisticated equipment of great material value.

According to Observatory sources, Turkish-factions are selling the stolen goods in the village of Merix.

On March 12, SOHR sources reported that Turkish-backed factions stole industrial facilities from Umm Ushba village in Ras al-Ain countryside, according to Syrian Observatory sources, Turkish-backed factions dismantled an ice factory, an automated oven, a shop, a cotton gin, a car wash and shops in the village, where they were completely looted with doors, windows and copper wires.

Furthermore, members of Turkish-backed elite forces stole a taxi from its owner and sold it in the city of Tal Abyad.

On March 6, SOHR sources reported that violent clashes took place with machine guns in Kafifeh village in western countryside of Tal Abyad which is controlled by Turkish-backed factions, and according to Syrian Observatory sources, clashes erupted between the al-Majd Corps and al-Shamal Brigade, after a dispute between them over how to divide the stolen “spoils”. Six members of those factions were killed.

The Turkish forces intervened to break up clashes between them.
