“Sheikh al-Karama” forces detain two Hezbollah members, demanding prisoners swap with regime

Al-Suwayda governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the faction of “Sheikh al-Karama” forces demanded releasing of one of its members detained by regime intelligence services.

“Sheikh al-Karama” forces issued a statement detaining two members of Lebanese Hezbollah militias, on Sami’e road in Al-Sweida countryside, demanding the release of their kidnapped member and swapping for the two kidnapped Hezbollah members as well as other regime officers who were arrested earlier by “Sheikh al-Karama” forces.

The statement also stressed their readiness for all eventualities if regime forces and militias tried to escalate the situation.

On March 13, activist told SOHR that regime forces arrested a woman during while returning from Damascus to Al-Sweida without a clear charge.

Meanwhile, members of the local factions in Al-Sweida arrested four regime military police members at the roundabout of the Al-Basel at the entrance to the center of Al-Sweida governorate, and demanding those responsible for the arrest of the woman be held accountable.
