University campus in Damascus closes a number of student dormitories as part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus

The administration of Damascus University campus closed all gates and tightened security measures around the campus’s walls, while keeping the main door open to residents of the university campus, students at Damascus University said.

Meanwhile, the head of the university campus in Damascus issued a decision to partially evacuate the student dormitories as part of the precautionary measures to fight Coronavirus. The doors of student dormitories will be closed under the supervision of the campus administration.

The student dormitories that have been evacuated as follows: electrical and mechanical engineering and Barzeh’s dormitories, Al-Mezzeh’s dormitories: Unit tow, Unit three, Unit four, Unit seven, Unit eight and Unit 13, while student dormitories for Arab and disabled students remained open: Unit five, Unit 15 and Unit 11.

While, Unite 14th, Unite12th, Unit 6th and 1st unit remained open for students who cannot travel to their provinces. Dormitories of the postgraduate students in the university campus remained open as well.
